Civilization III Conquests Plus

I have started a game and i am beginning to figure out what tech advances and requirements that need to be eliminated or changed. I do need to work on updating the unit data, which is going to take a while. There are also some odd things going on with the Barbarians. I need to figure those out as well.

I do have one question for the forum. Has anyone played this through to a complete game?
 
I understand that I sound like a grouchy old man. That is because I am a grouchy (sometimes) old many, who has a limited amount of time left on the good Earth. That means that I sort of value my time highly.

Right now, I discovered when starting a game last night as the Vikings that to build roads, you first have to research the Wheel. Now, I have a major problem with this. The Inca, who never developed the wheel, not having any good draft animals available, developed a very good system of roads, which were used by the Spanish in conquering them. Therefore, road building should not require the Wheel. Another change to make. I will do this as I want to use all of the World War 2 units that are included. However, that does not make me any less grouchy. The Tech Tree is overkill.
 
For those interested, I am still plugging away at this, as I really like having access to all of the World War 2 units and other goodies in the various building and some of the Techs. I have discovered that in the original file, the Byzantines have no Infantry, but do have the Rifleman. I started the game I am using for my working file with the Byzantines at the start of the Modern Era, to see what might be causing problems and what was working correctly. The proliferation of buildings by what looks like all of the civilizations it something that also needs to be worked on. When I get something that I feel is somewhat satisfactory, I will post it for comments, and make sure that I give full credit to Dountela for doing all of the work to put this together.
