So, I have new 13" Aluminum Macbook. I recently installed VMFusion and Windows XP with no problem. I am only using XP to run a few games. I first installed Civ IV and there were no problems installing or playing. Next, I installed Civ III Complete. There were no problems installing, but I cannot get the game to play. When I pop in the Play disc, the window opens were I can select to play the game. I click play and I can hear the intro to the game, but it's just a black screen. But, if I press Enter, it skips the intro and goes to the menu. There I am able to select New Game, choose my World, and select Player Setup. So, when I finish all that and hit Enter to start the game, it starts to load (loading game, assigning team colors, etc.) but then crashes and goes back to the desktop. I've tried restarting, cleaning the disc, turning off firewall, and a few others with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be? I don't know if it's due to VMFusion, Windows, or a bad install of the game. I have it on my desktop and I'm able to play it with no problems. Thanks for the help.
