Civ 3 external scenario installation

Hi, just joined today.
been playing civ for over 20 years and the only one i play anymore are the scenarios on civ 3.
downloaded some scenarios from here yesterday, unzipped them and placed them in:
Firaxis Folder-Conquests Folder.
when i run the game they do not appear in the Conquests section - what i am doing wrong?
info greatly appreciated.

They should be in the Conquests\Scenarios folder. As an example, my files structure involving the scenario "The Great War" looks like:

D:\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\The Great War 2.1.biq
D:\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\TGW
D:\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\TGW\Art\ (etc.)
D:\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\TGW\Text\ (etc.)

The name of the folder will have to match what the Scenario Search Folders in the BIQ is looking for, but the .zip files for the scenarios should have that named appropriately out of the box.

thanx for the response, i have put the downloaded scenario folders in the Conquests folder and have cut the biq files from these folders and placed them in the Conquests folder and the Scenarios folder as the existing Scenarios have their biq files in both places.
btw i downloaded AmericanIndependenceWar & 79119-twilight_of_rome (i'm assuming these are scenarios cuz they have biq files) but the other 2 files i downloaded were not scenarios but unit packs (29178-rus2 & 65091-germanic_16) i believe and do not have biq files.
anyway i'll see if they load - help greatly appreciated and u stay safe.
real shame civ 3 doesn't have the cheat editor like civ 2, i had lots of fun playing with the game parameters, but the AI in civ 2 was not sufficiently aggressive.

okay well they are both now in the Conquests section of the loaded game (i copied and pasted the biq files into the Conquests and Scenarios folders on my C drive), but i am receiving different error messages for each scenario when i try to play them:
Twilight Of Rome
Load Error
ERROR READING FILE
Missing Entry in "text\Pedialcons.txt."- TECH - Sailing

AmericanWarOfIndependence
Load Error
FILE NOT FOUND
"Art\Flics\america - T.flc"

Here are two screenshots, how the installation of the scenario The Great War (TCW) should be done:

The folder TGW comes into the scenarios folder of the Conquests expansion (C3C) of Civ 3 Complete. Please don´t mix it up with the Conquest folder inside the Conquests mainfolder. The biq comes outside the TGW folder in the scenarios folder of the Conquest expansion. It is not necessairy to place another copy of the biq into the Conquests folder inside the Conquests mainfolder. It is very unlucky, that there are two Conquests folders inside Civ 3 Complete.

Inside the TGW folder the next folders should have the structure posted in the screenshot above.

cheers, so instead of putting the file in C:\civilisation complete 3\Conquests\Conquests folder (where the original scenario folders are) i put the folder in C:\civilisation complete 3\Conquests\Scenarios folder and copy and paste the biq file from that folder into the same folder with the rest of the biq files - cant be that simple?
