This has been out for a while. Someone actually took the picture, enhanced it, and made it bigger.

EDIT: Here's the thread on it, made two months ago: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=356433

Wow, nice blow up of the picture. I like it.

When you zoom in that closely, the graphics people made some... interesting choices. It's a bit New York isn't it? The advisor is some wannabe fashionista wearing revealing clothes and the settlor looks a bit, um, homosexual with the hand on the hip and the pouty expression.

It's a bit debonaire for 4000 BC, n'est ce pas?

And judging by what the advisor has to say... I think I'll be turning those tidbits "off" quite early in the game.

well if they wouldn't wear sexy revealing clothes, then everybody probably would turn them off rather quickly considering the obvi... wisdom behind their advices...

basic military units will have 2 movement instead of one. so other units (like mounted) will have to move farther so that all the walking guys with swords, spears, and muskets can't keep up with them. the question is, are all the movement points doubled, or do they all have 1 point added to them?

Yes, but is it cavalry 4 mp and infantry 2 mp, or cavalry 3 mp and infantry 2 mp(doubled verse add one)?

Well, it was an interesting "interview" I guess, but of course absolutely nothing new revealed. :(

The Babylonian civilization will be an extra civ (19th?) as downloadable content,
their leader is Nebuchadnezzar II, their UU is Bowmen

As long as it is FREE, (or $0.99); I guess it's okay . . .

...If this means paid for DLC, that's quite worrisome.
Starting to lose more hope for Civ5.

Then again, since Civ4 has an active modding community and is extremely easily moddable, it doesn't matter if the next installment sucks.

Yep.

Seriously, Firaxis. What the hell?

That's it. I'm unsubscribing to this thread. :wallbash:

I had it with the entire Civ5 board and their claims that...
*one land based military unit per tile will ruin Civ5
*the hex grid will ruin Civ5
*religions being changed will ruin Civ5
*not having Spain/Poland/Italy/Sealand will ruin Civ5.
*not being Civ4 will ruin Civ5
*one tile culture expansion will ruin Civ5
*no roads over the entire map will ruin Civ5

I had hoped to find solace in this thread, and only have to check up on it when something new was announced. Now I'm done. The comments for the announcement of Civ5 on Steam are already full of the most over-reactionary, "my mommy doesn't love me anymore," rhetoric I've seen on CivFanatics. Bringing that stupidity to this thread is just finding more soapboxes to for the perpetually angry "Civ fans" to stand on.

Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

I think its "So long, and thanks for all the fish."
But you are right about the maturity level of many posters . . .

Complainers are always more vocal. And now there is one less person on the thread who is approaching ciV from the perspective, "hmm interesting, that could be a lot of fun if they do it right".

I suspect that cIV will keep a lot of players, I think the designers strategy is give variety and change things up not put out a 'perfect' version of civ. A lot of the comments I see seem angry that a feature they liked in previous versions is not going to be included because they see that as a repudiation of that feature that won't be included as civ works to its 'perfected' form. I think the designers see it more as providing a new experience for civ fanatics while trying to attract new players who've never played civ before.
