Civ 5 Design Challenge II - Mechanics

Mostly delayed due to a mix of finals and NaNoWriMo. Thread restarts in December.

Gonna have to give it to Uighur_Caesar's Viceroyalty of Peru.

I vote for Howard tafty's Russia.

It's less to do with that and more to do with the overall organization of the challenge.
And that is... ?

seriously, no idea, because the guy running the challenge only needs to be active in the first part:

  1. get and post the mechanic
  2. wait for designs
  3. link all designs together and ask people to vote
  4. ???
  5. profit

Well, if he's busy, he might not be able to get the PM from the winner in time.

This wouldn't stop us from voting on the already posted designs (Which doesn't really require the interference of any supervisor) and technically, the winner could just post his challenge himself. No reason that we should waste weeks or months just to wait for something so simple, that in fact can be done by ourselves while GPuzzle is away.

Yeah, really, it's mostly that somehow I created this utterly inneficient system that would normally require a buttload of work from me even when I'm in my busiest months or far away from home just to do a simple system.

Really, there's no need for an "OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT".

In any case we should keep this running weekly. So if Gpuzzle can't post someone else should do it.

Maybe it could be the priviledge for the previous winner? Since the contenders are fighting over his idea and all. But of course, if there arent any post being done after quite some time then its a free for all.

Also I vote for Tarcisio's Rouran Khaganate

I vote for Natan35's La Tene Culture. It would be interesting to play a civilisation that can't generate great people and has a city that isn't a city.

Yeah Natan's La Tene culture is quite unique compared to some of the others, so I'll vote for him.

I have no idea how Natans la tene isn't just an enormous gimp - civs are supposed to be better than playing something with 0 bonuses, so I'm massively confused by this civ which isn't competitive on any level whatsoever.

Tarcisio's Rouran for me.

I agree for the most part. Playability is more important than originality.

Hmm... you might have missed the extra *everything* generation when the game starts(especially faith).

Plus, its a design challenge, not Marbozir's LP.

(FWIW, Originality does give me points which I won't get otherwise, so...)

I'm voting Viceroyalty of Peru, Tarcisio's Rouran is pretty good but I honestly have no idea how that UU works whatsoever :p
