Just off topic wish. Now that EU is forcing apple to open it’s ecosystem I wish steam store comes to ios and ipados so these steam windows/ apple ARM games could be one more platform with same purchase.

Yeah. Sometimes the highest end option was OK at times. I had the best variant of the GPU in the 2014 Retina iMac before my Mac Studio.

40 fps average is not that bad for a M1 MacBook Air.

Unlikely it’s for Apple silicon-only. If it true, then will use the Virtual machine software to run windows on my MAC.

Was able to download and play Civilization VII on my Intel MAC computer using Window 11 and DX12. Running on 4K. All settings on High.

I'm seeing effectively the same frame timings at 1440p (high settings) on an M1 Max Mac Studio with 32 GPU cores and 32GB RAM.

Here are some benchmark screen grabs.

First, here's my M1 Max Mac Studio with 32 GPU cores and 32GB RAM at 1440p high settings.

The resolution is selected to get the UI scaling I like. This game absolutely flies on the M1 Max!

Next, here's my original M1 MacBook Pro with 8 GPU cores and 8GB RAM at 1080p low settings.

Finally, here's my original M1 MacBook Pro with 8 GPU cores and 8GB RAM at 1080p medium settings.

The resolution is native for my external monitor. The original M1 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM will not run adequately at high settings, but but is perfectly playable at low or medium.
