Just some pointers for Sweden here:

• "Den Svenska Stormakten" (The Swedish Empire) might look better in the upper left than "Sverige" does, it's not wrong per se, but the swedish empire controlled more than what would have been considered Sweden. However the "Sverige" on the actual map looks right.
• Gustavus Adolphus' full Swedish name is "Gustav II Adolf"
• "År 1611-1632 e. Kr." (year 1611-1632 AD) would look a lot better, and be grammatically correct; "Av 1611-1632" means "of 1611-1632".
• It's Norska Havet, not Norskehavet, in Swedish (Norskehavet is the Norwegian and Danish name)
• Don't forget the umlaut on Älvsborg
• Livonia is called "Livland" in Swedish.
• Instead of "Område Tillsätts i X" it should be "Område Erövrat X" or "Område Erövrat År X" (Erövrat = Conquered, "tillsatt" in this context doesn't feel quite right to me)
• Gdansk was still called Danzig in Swedish back then.

This was actually a rather difficult translation. Too many place-names I was unfamiliar with, and the majority stayed the same...

Hebrew, is the closest modern language we have to Ancient Persian. The maps themselves (well, the vast majority) are all translations as opposed to transliterations. I didn't want to spend additional time making a Hebrew font in Cuneiform.

Regarding the Austrian map:

[olive] Territoriale Verluste (not "Territorialen Verluste"), although Gebietsverluste is much more elegant.
[grey] Teile des Heiligen Römischen Reiches (not "Teile des Heiliges Römisches Reich, although - again - Gebiet des Heiligen Römischen Reiches is much more elegant.

At least that is what we in Northern Germany would say.

I know you mostly made renames, but Denmark probably deserves a map more like the red areas of this map, specialy since they represent the Vikings & include Norway. Scania (Nowdays south sweden) should specially be on it, it was mostly Danish untill 1658.

But the maps generally represent the area the chosen leader ruled, not the totality of what the civ represents. Case in point, the American map only shows colonial America, however America also has a modern UU so the civ represents more than just the colonial era.

Good point about the leader, I'll do some research on the leader, pretty sure Scania still should be included.
Another cool thing would be to show the Vikings "sphere of Terror" over Northern Europe as a low opacity field.

Sure I'll take a look at the names, but I'm not that good with Danish writing, tho I understand it pretty much.
I could also try to rewrite it in futhark Runes if you want?

His kingdom is in red, and his vassals/allies are in pink. I'll probably exclude Normandy and focus on Scandinavia.

It'd be cool if we could get the writing in runes. Although I don't know how you'd get it to me.

I don't think you should use capitol letters with this font, the font turns those runes up-side-down. Not 100% sure but I don't think futhark had capital letters, nor have I heard they were turned up-side-down.

The region names in red/purple on your map are all pretty much correct to be used in futhark, there are some diffrences in the å, æ, ø. But older futhark don't got these letters either. Write å as runic "a", æ as runic "ae", ø as runic "o".
The names from your current Denmark map are all good to be used in Runic with the å, æ, ø replaced as above.

Not sure you want them, but other translations of note:

Sweden(= Svealand + Gotaland, Sweden is not united yet) - Svealand - svealand

Wow, that's really good. I'm trying to start making new maps myself. Would you mind sharing (or where you got) the dirty/folded paper texture/brush you used?

(A sidenote, Harald probably intruduced Christianity to Denmark, but the norse gods were probably used way longer. The word "Herren" sounds VERY Christian, did you mean to refer to god or Harald as the lord? If Harald, I'd prolly go with "I Jarlens år 970" or with "I Kongens år 970")
