How's the mod getting along? I'm getting my laptop back from repairs this weekend. Would be nice to be able to celebrate by taking Denmark to the top of the world
It's coming. Still a few more pieces to complete and assemble. Denmark will be in so you have that to look forward to.
I heard someone made Chile, anyone know if its true?
And if not, you should make it
It would be nice to play a game with only modern countries (specially from South America).
Chile will be included in 4.0.

please make Simon Bolivar the leader for Venezuela. There is no other reasonable leader for Venezuela and there is no other reasonable civ for bolivar. (and don't say Bolivia)
Oh and the wikipedia picture of bolivar is nice and a good model to use.

Bolivarian Empire is a separate civ comprised of cities from Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Peru and Bolivia. The LH is already done.

Yah the name of his empire is "New Grenada" and it included parts of Brazil and Guyana.

I'm new here and i've downloaded civ gold directly
One problem however. I downloaded it, unzipped it and put it in the Civ 4 Mods folder.
But I can't get it to run. How do I run it?
Hope someone can help me fix this

I think the best thing to try is to load a mod
in the main menu of the start up menu
Chile's capital will be Santiago, and the city list will be pretty straightfoward.
The leader will be Bernardo O'Higgins and I forget the UU off the top of my head.
As for South America, the Inca (Firaxis), Brazil (3.0), and Argentina (3.0), will be joined by Chile and the Bolivarian Empire in 4.0
The release date? We're working on it.

It's all about time and manpower (of course). Idea-wise, planning-wise, we've been doing quite well.
We have a lot of content but still need some XML editing done and some additional art work.

Will 4.0 be compatible with the warlords patch, if civgold isn't already?
There are Warlords and Non-Warlords versions for 3.0.
4.0 will be Warlords-only. (It's sijmply too difficult to maintain two versions, given the way Gold is structured)
