CIV Gold!

flyrec, I see what you're saying. If Warlords expansion gives us leaderheads for civs, then we simply replace them. No biggy. It would be very simple to create a new version specifically for Warlords, adding in only the civs not already included by the new pack.

That’s good to hear. Sounds like you guys have a good handle on it. It really is a great mod, especially for me, cause I’m pretty happy with the way the game works normally, its nice to just have some new civilizations without any new weird game mechanics.

flyerec,

I share your concerns over this. I think what we have decided to do is have a "Vanilla" edition and a "Warlords" edition, making changes as necesary.

You are absolutely correct that having new choices will give us new options. But I think we'll cross that bridge when we get to it and decide what to do - if anything - with what we have.
I think that the Carthaginian Hannibal you've done would make a very good Hector of Troy once the "real" Hannibal comes into the game with Warlords.

Good suggestion (that was Sevo's handiwork). We'll have to see how we approach things as we will likely have two packs - one for people with Warlords, and one for people without. That's the plan, anyway. We'll see how it pans out.

But yes, we'll have a few extra "heads" to throw about. :)

well, I successfully downloaded it, but I have some problems. (More like fatal errors):

All are in order down then left. The last left one is the one I got when I tried to play the map.

Wyz Up could you add the following civs to eather the Civ gold 2 or Civ gold 3(If there is one)could you add the Commonwealth of New Zeland???Aslo could you add the mugal empire???

1. Did you install this as a mod or to Custom Assets?

2. Are you patched up to 1.61?

1. As a mod

2. No. How do I have it as a patch?

EDIT:
And, how did you edit the leaderheads? I've been wondering how to do that.

Make sure you are using the latest patch for CivIV - 1.61. Without it, you'll generate a lot of errors.

Sevo did most of those leaderhead edits. The are primarily re-skins, I believe. But I have to confess that I know next to nothing about it. (I've re-skinned units, but haven't worked with LH graphics, apart from editing background pictures).

Uh, why is a C++ error popping up?

I dont know. But when I lowered the graphics settings, it worked fine.

By the way, can you make an auto direct to civ gold so I dont have to wait 2 loads to play?

Yes. Find "_Civ4Config" in the main Sid Meier's Civilization 4 directory and double click. This will take you to the config ini file.

About half way down you'll find this line:

; Specify a Mod folder (Mods\Mesopotamia), '0' for none

The line below should read:

Mod = Mods\CIV Gold

Completely random question.

What does Wyz_sub10 stand for?!?

First part is from my last name. Second part is a track and field reference (100m). And no, I've never run 100m in anything remotely close to 10 seconds. I can probably cover 50m in 10, though. :D

Hello,

I seem to have a minor problem with the mod. :(
I patched to 1.61 and then i unzipped the file. I copied it to the "mod"
folder under civ4.
I run it, everything goes perfect, the game starts up.
It says its civgold, but when i open the civilopedia, i see only the old civs.
Same goes for units. It's as if the mod didn't do anything, yet its running.

Help would be so greatly appreciated.

Thx,

2Cb.
