Poll coming :D

Personally I like ciV since I posted cIV in the past.

Like I said, being able to more easily distinguish between Civ4 and Civ5 is why I use them.:)

C'mon people we can't play the game until fall so let’s use this time wisely and forge some type of consensus on this. Other shorthand may be 'cool' as the kids like to say these days but I call for you all to choose clarity. I vote with all possible vigor for Civ5.

So will six be CiVI? Hehe. seven CiVIl? What does L stand for in roman numerals?
It stands for 50.

Back on topic, I voted "Civ 5", but I prefer "Civ V". Still, I'm not a radioactive moonkeh.:crazyeye::lol:

I never liked it when people abbreviated Civilization 4 as cIV. I'm a Civ 4 kinda guy, and I'll stick with using Civ 5 as well.

future haters!

I suppose you say twothousand and ten rather than twenty-ten?

;)

I just am just gonna say 10 like oh-nine and oh-eight and ninety-eight because I am hip. And everybody better know what I am talking about too. Or else.

Civ 5 or Civ V, I would think. It looks much better with a space between 'Civ' and '5' or 'V'. Nice and neat.

The problem with having cIV and ciV is that they are way too similar, and at first glance it's not too clear which is which. Having the numeral 5, or the roman numeral V separated from Civ allows for much more clarity.

Civ5 makes it like one symbol, no space like Civ 5. Use of the roman numeral, while cute and nice for a box cover, makes it harder to distinguish. With Civ5 you can see clearly what it is. Though civV is better than ciV which could be confused for a typo.

Also Civ5 seems to be IT already. Look at the name of this forum.

This is how you guys are spending your time?

The v's stand for awesomeness.

Also, Civ49 would be civIL
Civ49 will be played in virtual reality through a neural jack while equipped with a nutrient tube and newly invented drugs which make it so you never have to sleep. And your life-energy will be harvested by robots to power their post-apocalyptic society...oh wait.

Either that or it will take place in the 19th century sierra nevada mountains and you found new gold-mining camps and fend off barbarian claim-jumpers.
