Civ III Complete and Acrobat Distiller

When I start Civ III complete, I get an error that the machine was trying to load Adobe Acrobat Distiller (I have version 8) and has a problem becuse it is already started, do I want to retry. It does that continuously while the game is starting, and when I get a local game going, it stopped once I turned off the music.

I also had a vanilla Civ III and never had this problem.

Any thoughts?

Try playing it with another drive if you have one, since I tried to install a game once, and it wouldn't work because of the Adobe Acrobat. I tried the other drive and it worked

i have the same problem .

the game starts but uses a lot of memory and makes my CPU work verry hard .
Afther a few turn it crashes to desktop and i get a message that distiller has crashed as well . I tryed using a second drive but same problem.

any one know a solution ?

Distiller... I had that problem once with multiplayer matches...

It disappeared after a while though. I don't know the problem, sorry.
