Civ III won't run anymore!

Help!! I bought Civ III complete for my birthday and was really enjoying playing it. Last week it started shutting off, and now it will not even start.
What did I do wrong?
When it shut off, it would say a certain file could not be found.
So, I uninstalled, and re installed which went well.
Then my computer started acting up. Moving reall slow, stopping programs, starting programs without prompts. So, I ran my virus program, and my spyware, nothing.
Then I tried doing a system restore.
The computer runs great.
Civ III don't.
Bummer!
Help!!!!

Sorry, but I know nothing of the problem.

However you should check to see if you have any other games on your computer cause if you do it could help to remove them.

Or if you have an excessive amount of saves. That happened to me on Civ 3 until finally I un and re installed it. Now I just save it as the same thing Either the name of the Civ or the Diff. That leaves room for a total of 7+16=23 Saves.
