CIV IV Complete installation Problem

I've done a thorough search of the forums and haven't found any thing addressing my problem so I'm starting this thread.

I'm running XP Pro and have all the updates installed. When I put in the DVD, the autorun pops up the proper GUI to install the game. I click on install and Microsoft ODBC setup pops up - apparently it's the Microsoft ODBC installation manintenance program. I go ahead and Reinstall to restore any missing files and settings and it runs successfully to conclusion. It then closes and I again click on the install button on the CIV GUI, and the process starts all over again. I cannot get past the Microsoft ODBC setup, even though everything appears to be fine.

Any thoughts about how to proceed?

open the disc in windows explorer
locate setup.exe
right click on it
choose run as administrator

Thanks for the response. I actually did this later in the day. DUH!

I was so wrapped up in trying to figure out how to stop the endless loop of Microsoft's ODBC garbage that I didn't step back and consider an alternate approach.
