Churchill of America:
Navy Seal (starts with march, amphibious)
Protective adds 2 (Drill1, CG1)
Red Cross adds medic 1
13 XP = 4 promotions with charismatic, to get 9 promotions.

Dunno if there's any other ways.

Tokugawa of America:
Navy Seal (2 promotions)
Protective (2)
Aggressive (1)
Red Cross (1)
13 XPs (3)

Total of 9.

You only needed to say one of the answers, note I said needed, so that means someone here is right. Here's a hint, alhimik is wrong (otherwise, you're going to have to tell me the 2 other situations that provide more promotions, btw, why can't you answer? edit: nvm, looked at the rules).

Spoiler :
Onionsoilder is right. Btw, random events weren't accounted for.

The other two solutions were stated by UWHabs and ruff_hi, except since Onionsoilder answered first he gets it. I'm surprised that you guys were able to answer that quickly! You know you're not supposed to look up the answers, right? This is all coming from your head!

So you're up Onionsoldier!

Wair the Dun only counts for melee units right? iF not Toku Celtia should be there...
Edit: Wait, according t one source, it gives the benefit to all units, so the most possible would be ten!
This is what makes Tokugawa great...

Ah... no because the dun only gives one promotion. Meanwhile, the other supplies given by the civilization gives 2 (for example, america->navy seals->starts with 2 promotions).

The answer I quoted said 8 promotions (before the edit), I meant that I knew ways for getting 9. But those were also answered already.

Ah! You're making me confused! Onionsoldier just ask the next question!!!

Okay, will do:

What is the highest amount of Commerce any single tile can yield?

Without random events my guess would be 10. Financial, gold resource, on a river, golden age.

Edit: This could also be done with a town.

With random events, and this probably will never happen in any game, but I think it can:

Jungle grassland hill with gold. The jungle might grow over the gold early in the game. The following random events happen to that tile:

Horticulture: +1
Parrots: +1
Truffles: +1
40 thieves: +2

Added to the conditions of my above post: 15 commerce/turn.

I couldn't answer, but since a right one has been, I think I'm allow to correct. A town with Free Speech in forced, gains 2 extra commerce. Also with Printing Press, you get another commerce. Can't believe you guys missed that!

Yes, under those conditions a town can also reach 10 without random events, but gold is a better answer IMO because it has fewer requirements. (:

Name all units that are immune to first strikes without using any promotions.

Well, actually the question (if I understand correctly that is) it says what is the highest yield you can get of commerce on one tile, it didn't say anything about having fewer requirements or not.

Anyways, the answer would be:..?, Camel Archer, Cuirassier... that's all I can remember actually, but there's tons more I know. Btw, does it include UU?

Samurai......all Calvary units(With the exception of th- well I'll save it for if I win but the certain UU.) and the Holkan....

edit: darn, name them....

Yeah I guess either would've been fine. (:

Yes, including UUs.

Guessing here and using previous posts... :p Horse Archer, Crusarrier, Cavalry, Conquistador, Cossak, Numidian Cavalry, Holkan, Camel Archer... Knight?

Meh I have no idea. >_>
