Civ Quiz II

@r_rolo1

Per the promo listing here they can. The page says it is accurate for BTS 3.17.
That list is awfully innacurate ..... notice they say that you can only get medic I of combat I and not from drill ( I had already mentioned to the last corrector that it was missing.... )

From the game civilopedia:
Spoiler :
Civ4ScreenShot0178.jpg

Promos are equal to the scout

OK, an easy one. What is the most number of hammers you can get from a town, not including production multipliers e.g. forges?

Show your working ;)

3:hammer: 1 from universal suffrage 1 from metal and 1 from grassland hill

EDIT; + 1 from levee/dike

I think r_rolo1 is confusing towns and cities ;)

furlock: nope

Does the tin event apply if you remove the mine? I have to admit I didn't think of that, but your calculation is wrong anyway ;)

EDIT: I think

Spoiler :

Isn't the tin event +2 hammers?

Correct-a-mundo.

I was thinking 5 but forgot about the tin event. Any 1 hammer base tile (grassland hill, plains), riverside with levee/dike with 1H bonus resource, with US under a golden age.

So, it is me ? :D

Ok:

What is the absolute minimum XP you need in game to get a Woodsman III/Medic III unit in real game conditions ( no WB :p ) with what unit and with what leader/civ combo?

I think I have the answer

Spoiler :
Boudica (CHM/AGG) of Atzecs, Jaguar (free Woody I), GG attached and 20 XP for the required 5 additional promotions (Med I, Med II, Med III, Woody II, and Woody III).

But I have already asked a question today so someone else can answer and ask the next one.

@ r_rolo1

Spoiler :
I assume you are not including the Red Cross NW for the free Med I since it would be impossible to build a jag at the time when you have the Red Cross.

You could culture flip the red cross city ;)

Yup you're right, but that would be one heck of a beeline.

Not necessarily. I could see myself easily beelining medicine like that in a Archipelago map ... There is always muskets, pikes and cuirs...... EDIT: you only need to avoid CS, Rifling and Mil Sci to be able to build jags that late

But, for the record, my definition of real game conditions is on the question.....

So, it is me ? :D

Ok:

W1 free with jaguar. Medic 1 free with Red Cross.
So four promos needed. 4^2+1 = 17XP. For charismatic it is ceiling[3*17/4] = 13XP
Any charismatic leader (for the lower XP) of the Aztecs (for the jaguar).

Since we are allowing red cross the leader doesn't need to be Agg for the free C1 because we start with Medic 1 right away.

Why wouldn't we allow Red Cross ? :p Like I stated above, it is not impossible to make jaguars in a Red Cross city ....

You're right, Piece of Mind..... Make a question ;)

Ok, another evil question. You're allowed to use any information available to work this one out.

If I built a city in 4000BC and could build a monument every turn (yes, there will be hundreds of monuments), on what speed would the city reach Legendary first (as measured by the year)? Assume there is no palace or any other culture source - only the monuments. You also need to say what year the city reaches Legendary.

Note the first monument would be built at the end of the first turn, so you'd have 1:culture: already on turn 2.
