Civ VI Funny/Strange Screenshots

Don't even need the Niter but I've got to give the man something to do.

He got too excited and worked himself to death :(.

I so wish this ability were more common. There should be a civilian unit dedicated to it. Maybe the Military Engineer, which comes late enough? It just feels like a waste otherwise. This looked too fun to skip but I'll probably regret it later when I need it for that uranium just outside city range.

Anyway, just need to plant Woods next to the Furs and on the Rice tile to create a three-tile wall for my Voi Chien/Field Cannons, then a Thanh between the Dam and the Niter or the Desert tile. Portugal is never getting close to (let alone cross) that river again.
Humankind and Beyond Earth outposts?

I don't fancy this game much but some of you might like the challenge lol (Portugal / Island Plates / Emperor).

Remember that Nan Madol city-state I mentioned a couple days ago? It's on a different continent and since this is a Terra map, no Civ can yet reach it. Well, France found Nan Madol's galley as well, with enough envoys to suzerain it. It did so, then this happened:

By suzeraining Nan Madol France got access to the entire map explored by Nan Madol's galley. That revealed another 5 city states on that continent. Since France is the first to do so and also has Diplomatic League slotted, it gained 2 envoys in each of new city-states. This is pretty insane :crazyeye:

I got a pretty nice trade route in my first Portugal game

Nice. I wasn't able to crack 100 in my 2 games with Portugal. Did you have a lot of Feitorias? I can't seem to get really high gold yields. Most Feitorias I managed in a single city was 3.

I think I got 3 in Dehli. I used Reform the Coinage and some policies to boost the yields further and iirc I got Rockefeller.
Hunza was not in the game sadly, also I did not pick Religious Community and had no spot for Simbabwe.

Rockerfeller is always nice. I don't think got him either of my Portugal games.

This took hours to achieve... my masterpiece. Not the vampires, but figuring out some sort of tie in with the Phantom Menace. For some reason, I'm Sith and Egypt is Jedi. Roll with it?

Spoiler tag for people who hate seeing pictures that aren't (purely) Civilization:

This is the first time I seen this. When I placed the city, I didn't see any visual indicator the tile is already flooding, only that it is a floodable tile. So I place this city solely to get the oil and I get this:
not even military engineers can fix this mess.

Okay, I reloaded the auto save, and now I see it was flooding. I could have swore it wasn't like that before. I am playing wetlands map, and I thought it was a marsh tile. Doh. So I can reverse this mess, but I don't think I can get the barrier up in time to save that oil. Or maybe it converts to sea oil?

You'll loose the city once entirely under water and then you can settle the other tile? :/
I hate that thing about settling on flooded tiles! It's really stupid the way it is, if it's intended it should at least display a warning when settling.
