Now thats my first time seeing a river change a name while not leaving one floodplain. Also, quite the A-maize-ing start for new Cleo.

edit: save, if anyone was interested. good civic and tech tree generated, lonely location.

Bought all the useless remaining ocean tiles in the hopes it would expand to the aluminium next, and it takes the fish that can't be worked... (It did take the aluminium a couple of turns later, but still...)

At least it's on par historically with Kublai having trouble when it comes to doing things in the ocean.

Probably a waste of a Builder charge, but you could harvest the fish. :p

I have done it. I have all 59 Great Works of Writing, 69 Great Works of Art, 38 Great Works of Music and 24 original Relics. Yeah, the game only has 24 Relics: you cannot get more than that. I ask you a question: how many cities do you need to slot all of them?

Spoiler The answer might surprise you! :

The answer is only 16... if you are playing as Sundiata Keita with the Secret Societies game mode.

The AI was not really pleased that I covet all Great Works of Writing. When the Patronage resolution showed up, they all voted against Great Writer. For revenge, I bought some of them with all of my wealth... until I couldn't...

Spoiler It's over 9000! :

To be fair, Great Writers weren't the bottleneck. Sooner or later, the Great Artists and the Great Musicians all asked 100'000+ Gold for patronage... which included the 20% Gold discount of Sundiata Keita. Those are some greedy Great People... Or is this inflation?

When I first saw this canal job, I thought it was silly and approaching a case of wasting public money.

But then it occurred to me that this zigzag running through the urban area was a rather clever design aimed at water traffic management, serving the purpose of a speed bump, so that all those huge container ships and military traffic would not just zoom past the city center without slowing down one bit and washing the population away all the way up to Akkad, which is the last thing we'd want. It was trouble enough convincing those folks to come down to settle and stay here.

Hey cool, my silk industry in Niani has created a great work product! It's... a divinely crafted glowing golden ark. I call it: Dock 2 Living Decor.
It's gold, so I guess I'll put it in the stock exchange, it'll fit right in.

(I think whatever happened here corrupted my Great Works viewer, after this I couldn't open up my Great Works at all).
