Civ VI Funny/Strange Screenshots

Mmmmm, Gouda. Oh, the city Gouda. Well, as long as it can make me some Gouda... ;)

*nomnom*

How did THIS one even happen (yes, that island is 100% snow tiles and there's a barbarian settler on it):

The barbarians tried to escape the cold, ofc, and managed to scrounge up enough recruits for a settler from their camp. Too late they noticed that they don't have shipbuilding.

How did they build crossbows, spearshafts, and the palisades in their camp? There's no trees! Are they all formed from driftwood?

Naturally. This is the northern tip of a globe spanning continent after all. There must be some kind of current!

So Kongo actually managed to conquer Nijmegen with some ironclads...

Guess I'll just wait for it to flip back in a few turns. (he's in a dark age and I'm in a golden age, for the record; in fact I'm going to occupy a few cities in order to make his loyalty pressure to other cities drop, I think I can flip all his cities if I just take one of them out of the equation for a while)

When you build the Great Library for the Great Scientist points, but didn't realize that they buffed it to give Great Writer points. And you put it in a city with almost all the GP boosts in the game but have absolutely no Great Writing slots beyond your palace and the library.

Spoiler :

(don't mind the weird settling pattern, I'm just realizing Scotland's 17th century dreams of colonizing the Americas. I took the Hic Sut Dracones dedication and everything)

Good point.

But still, England has no Jamestown or New York. France has no New Orleans or Montreal. And so on.

And let's be real, it's not like there's not enough cities in the Netherlands.
I'm planning on making a city lists mod once I buy R&F. I just can't play with Firaxis city lists. They are garbage.

Well, if you need a city list for the Netherlands, don't hesitate to send me a message. This city list has five colonial cities, and I hadn't heard of two of them, while I recognized a third because it was called "Fort ...". I mean yes, we founded colonial cities, but they just don't make sense on the list in my opinion. They were never important here.

Also, there's some cities that are just too high on the list. Haarlem in particular, while an important city in the past, should not be 5th on the list in my opinion.

Okay, I got a surplus of 33 era points on top of the requirement for the Golden Age, meaning I earned 83 era points in this era. And now?

They really need to get those golden ages scaling more.

Or I need to not be sitting on more than two civilizations worth of cities, meaning I get ahead in everything and, in about 10 turns time, get first corps, first army, first fleet, first armada and first aircraft in the world. That's a lot of era points.

This is also an interesting one, considering Catherine de Medici was eliminated in the Renaissance Era, yet apparently this is an Industrial Era artifact belonging to her? (I guess the good news is that archeologists at least remember how France joined the Netherlands)

Edit: Contemplating doing this to try to start flipping Egypt's cities (she's in a Dark Age) and because one-shotting a city would just be really funny.

(seriously, I'm pretty sure I am SUPER far ahead this game)

(also yes that single city over there was a free city that I just conquered, and with a governor it's got stable loyalty)
