Civitas mod? Also, "When something strange in the neighborhood."

Yup.. Civitas/CSE mod indeed. Very cool gameplay variations with tricky "Diplomatic" effects. :)
"Who you gonna call?" Also, love that mod. Always adds a little more creativity in my games, and Terra as Maori I shall dominate.

Jadwiga stole my great work and had the unmitigated gall to offer to sell it back to me on the same turn. I ended up accepting her second offer.

Partisans wreaking havoc, but at least they have no way of reaching the mainland.

The Scythian Army seems a little top heavy these days.

One of my favorite island cities ever, playing as Indonesia.

Enjoying my purchase of the Bullmoose variety pack.

Yields... So many Yields...

Since it's that time of year I'm going to go with a snowy theme.

"Man, I sure hope those pools are heated. Also I hope that volcano doesn't erupt and kill us all."

This snowy Macchu Picchu was giving me some serious Dark Souls vibes, especially with the cultists chilling out front.

This was one of the craziest looking cities I've had. Note the three oil wells next to each other.

This is one of my favorite results in city planning.

It features a Mayan Metropolis with a university campus (apparently studying Dyes, feat. Oxford University) mega-district on the left and an industrial mega-district (feat. Ruhr Valley) on the right. The cherry on top would have been building the Estádio do Maracanã next to the Colosseum for aesthetic reasons but it didn't work out that way.

So, I was hoping to recruit Sindbad, but he had been claimed by someone else. Later, I find out that Hungary is the culprit. Which is the point where I notice something: Hungary has no coastal cities, only some cities around a lake, which makes me wonder ... surely he did not ... but sure enough, not many turns later, I get the notification, Mathias has recruited Sindbad, so I decide to go check.
Spoiler :
So there is Sindbad, trapped in his little lake:

Another 30 turns go by, and I get a new notification, Mathias has recruited Sindbad again ... and guess what, he still had no coastal cities. Such waste. Needless to say, Hungary was not doing particularly well in this game ...

A 100 rerolls later, the perfect holy site (and yes, I restricted natural wonders to 3 and made the map "hot" to get this):

3 for breathtaking Australia
6 for desert folklore
4 for adjacent lay lines
2 for adjacent districts
6 for Pamalukke
x2 for the policy card

Nice. All that’s missing is that Great Scientist who gives Science equal to Faith adjacency (I love mixing that GS with Work Ethic and a +adjacency pantheon).

This is the kind of thing that makes you want to weep ;-)

If it makes you feel better, even if AI has coastal city, but builds Sindbad in a lakeside one, AI is unable to teleport it between cities :)
Did you forget Harbors exist? :p

Can't wait to read about his epic voyages. :mischief:
