stop asking questions.
What are your thoughts on Religion in Civ VI so far? personally Im liking it very much so far, the addition of extra belief buildings like the Synagogue and Wat are exactly what In addition to more beliefs, I haven't seen Tithe but I hope if its still there it at least doesn't outclass the other beliefs. Religion in Civ V was good but it got very stale as 75% or more of the beliefs were really bad. it also seems like their will be a lot more beliefs, and does anyone know if they changes the system of selection? ie: pantheon, founder, base, second base, enhancer, possible reformation. Im hoping for more beliefs per religion.

also RELIGIOUS VICTORY YESSSSSSS!!!
with Religion being a much bigger part of the game im very much interested in more religious civs, hopefully Germany will be somewhat faith focused.

You keep your pantheon belief if another religion takes over your city. If you found a religion you get to add 2 beliefs but the first belief you take must be a follower belief and there are 7 of these.
You can add 2 more beliefs later.

In addition to pantheon and follower beliefs, there are three other types.

Worship beliefs are religious buildings, like the pagodas, mosques, cathedrals, etc.

Founder beliefs and enhancer beliefs work the same as they do in Civ 5.

You can only add one belief of each type, but you can add them in any order you want. So if you want to maximize the number of yields you get out of your religion, you can choose a founder belief right away. If you want to spread your religion as aggressively as possible, you can choose an enhancer belief first.

Personally I don't like the fact that there are so many religious buildings.

In Civ 5, if you wanted to have a religious building, you had to invest in religion to get a religion early. It was a nice risk-reward mechanic.
Now everybody can get a religious building. It also makes it more bland, imho.

Also with the religious victory I'm afraid of missionary spam.

But negative things on the side, all in all I really look forward to Civ 6, just wanted to throw some criticisms in there.

Please note, you could only have 1 religious building per religion and it actually takes slot in Holy Site district. It's quite good to have a choice.

Pantheons staying with civilization instead of gaining it with religion is a good thing.

Overall religion looks quite similar to Civ5. Hope with Inquisitors and Apostles the late-game religion confrontations will be more active and interesting.

I'm curious about it, don't remember playing around with religion much in civ 5 but in civ 4 it was like a ok background thing going on to me lol, now here there seems to be plenty of interesting little bonuses to choose from at start.. and a religious victory? will see! but I like that it's not just icons of a few different religions, each seems to bring bonuses that you can choose and are different, I think that's great.

Now what if you want to encourage agnosticism or atheism in your population eh??? :P :P

In that case, I advise you to start a Civ 5 game and get a religion ;)

I change that I'm very happy to see is that pantheons no longer increase in cost as new pantheons are founded. So getting an early pantheon won't be such a roll of the dice anymore, and religion will still exist as a gameplay mechanic on higher difficulty levels.

Each religion must have 1 building (it makes sense given that it si the 3rd tier building).

But you also need to decide if you want the Worshipper Belief now or when you enhance your religion.

Goddess of reeds or whatever it is is +1 production on marsh tiles (bleh) and flood plains (yes please). Will probably be the new desert folklore, even if its not faith

I'm not positive, but I thought I saw that Marsh gives 3F base now?

I noticed this screen in Marbozir's LP. It says that a martyred apostle created a Great Work. So it would appear that you get Great Works when your Apostle unit gets killed.

EDIT: looks like I was wrong. The great work is discovered by accident, not spawned from a lost apostle unit.

Have we seen any founder believes that gives bonus per follower /city?

Have we seen any player gain apostles and the different bonuses for them?

All of them can be seen in the devs' official livestream.

Church Property (+2 gold per city)
Lay Worship (+1 faith per city with holy site, +1 culture per city with theatre square)
Papal Primacy (+50% city-state bonuses)
Pilgrimage (+2 faith per foreign city)
Stewardship (+1 science per city with campus, +1 gold per city with commercial hub)
Tithe (+0.25 gold per follower, yes it's back)
World Church (+0.2 culture per foreign follower)

I think the biggest change is that faith seems to be a resource you can produce loads of if you focus on it and how much faith you can produce more or less determine how dominating your religion will be. Religious victory is also a very big change.

What do great prophets do? I still haven't watched the beginning of the livestream yet. I heard the first one lets you found a religion, but that seems weird because Great People all have unique abilities, and those sound contradictory.

Well, all the Great Prophets we've seen so far have all one ability to found religion, so they are an exception.
