Civ2 won't start installation - Vista 32 bit

When inserting the disc, the auto run won't begin, clicking the CD Drive tries to run the disc in ITunes, and directly running the SETUP.exe gives me a NTVDM.exe error.

I have it set to run in win95 compat mode, and have seen help topics like the patcher, but I can't patch because I can't get the game to install.

Any ideas?

Installed fine the other day, turned out I needed some ancient indeo or however you spell it video drivers, which I DL'd to play thief gold.
