Civ3/CivCity:Rome not installing.

I recently bought a Combo pack with Civ3 Gold and CivCity:Rome. Every time I've try to install it, the program becomes unresponsive (Not responding).

I've trued going into the fscommand folder and installing via the setup.exe, and that gets me farther along but at the end of the install wizard it also became unresponsive.

I tried downloading a patch, but that failed too due a "kernel" failure.

I'd appreciate any help?

Not familiar with CivCity Rome. Civ3 gold has all patches. What is the OS you are on XP/Mac?Vista/Win7?

Is gold on a cd or a download? Sounds like you mean by fscommand that you open the CD and double click on the setup.
