Civ3 GOTM #2 is here!

It's the time of the month for a new Civ3 GOTM! We are very pleased with the response to our first Civ3 GOTM -- Matrix told me he has received more than 100 submissions already! Due to the huge number of submissions and that this is the first time we need to work on results for BOTH Civ2 and Civ3 GOTMs, the results will be posted a bit
later than before.

<li>Land Form: Pagaea_2</li>
<li>Number of Civs: 10</li>
<li>Map Size: Large</li>
<li>Climate: Wet</li>
<li>Temperature: Warm</li>
<li>Earth: 5 Billion Years</li>
<li>Barbarians: Raging</li>
<li>Rivals: 9 Random Rivals</li>
<li>Victory Conditions: Domination victory is disabled.</li>
</ul>

<b>Playing the Game:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>You must use the DEFAULT RULES to play the game.</li>
<li>Use of any cheats and editing of saved games are not allowed.</li>

<li>Saved games are due <i> January 2nd, 2002</i>.</li>
<li>Be sure to save at 0 AD and at the end of your game (We no longer require you to submit the 1000 AD saved game).</li>
<li>IMPORTANT: When submitting the game, please include all the info asked in the
<a href="http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3gotm/civ3gotm_submit.shtml">submission page</a>. Submissions with incomplete info will not be added.</li>

At first I was going to make it a regent level game, then I realized we played a regent level game last month. It's a GOTM tradition to play on different level each month...so I make it a King game.

I think I'll wait until I get a little better before trying this...I'm struggling enough on Earth, at Chieftain level.

I think it goes from 10 BC to 10 AD.

It should be 1 AD. 0 AD doesn't exist.

Why are these always "Barbarians: Raging"? Monarch will be hard enough to try without Barbarian hell.

I will probably give it a try, but I don't know if I will even live through the game.

He means the game will be 10 BC, then 10 AD the next turn I think. So do we save at 10 BC or 10 AD? Anyway, I think either one will do.

It can be a spoiler because this is a competition using the exact same game. Therefore If I say that the XCIV are to the XDirection, I am aiding someone who has not started yet and can benefit from that info. It isn't so much that they wan't to, but more that they don't want to know that. This is only my second GOTM, but I'd say it is all about honor.
