Civ4 preview on Attack of the Show

I have seen the online movies, but they were never as clear as the movies I saw on AOTS (the ugly ugly step child of The ScreenSavers - which was destroyed [effectively] when Comcast bought TechTV).

the pyramids were about the size of a one of the unit's foot when they zoomed in close - something I am curious about - the units would disapear when they zoomed in - did Jesse turn off the unit display as he zoomed in or did it cut off the units as he zoomed in automatically?

I have been unofficially worried for a while... NOW I am officially worried :(

ps - ALL through the show they tease the audience about the 3 minute segment about civ 4 with GRAPHICS FROM CIV 3!!!

Wow. That wasted 30 minutes of my life. That show and whole channel is so unprofessional. Anyway, they spent maybe 5 minutes on civ. You got to see a little bit of the graphics, but not much. It isn't worth watching to be honest.
SA's opinion of the show ( And the network ) was so true...

Why did they have to change it from " The Screen Savers " :(

I've been peering at the video trying to see if there is anything new, particularly on the Civics Screen.

Different civics options have different upkeep. Theology is "High upkeep" Universal Sufferage and Caste System are are Medium, decentraliztion has low upkeep, and Vassalige has no upkeep.

Total upkeep on this screen is 3 / turn.

State propery grants +1 food (shouldn't it be hammers?) from workshops and +1 wheat from windmills. Price is likely dependant on Civ size.

Organized religion grants +1 happiness from cities with (something)

Pacifism has +1 support cost to miltary units, and (something) in cities with (something)

Can't figure out what unversal sufferage does (+3 gold in x largest cities? +1 hammer from towns?). Theocracy is also blurry. Emancipation too. And I've had no luck figuring out what vassalage says.

There's also a little blurb about cottages (something something work to become something). The plains tile it's on has 1/1/1, so cottages might add 1 gold to the square they are placed on.

Can anyone make some screenshots for zooming? Anyone else want to guess?

All of this sounds pretty cool and complicated. I don't think they are dumbing everything down like a lot of people say. It may be easier to jump into, but it seems like there are a lot of in depth strategies as far as all of this stuff goes plus different religions and the tech tree. And the graphics are nice!

When was the last time Jesse Smith slept?

They get a nice close-up of a couple of the great-people. Someone's got a telescope. Some of them can also build an acamdamy (is this new?)
I couldnt make out what the telescope guys were but, seems the civ is china with shanghai being one city and canton the other, the leader who builds the academy is XI Ling ?Mei?. Something very close to that.

I notice Elephants as units and they even attack with them. Pretty Cool.
Seems both civs fighting had the war elephants, looks like its not Indias UU anymore. The horsemen he fights says immortals in the bottom left corner as well as desert being the tile they were sitting on.

Also I seem to see a Barbarian city... It's got the black border, black flag but I can't quite tell what it is.
I believe the black flag city might have said CHEROKEE..
Madras is the city the preacher is in, which i believe to be INDIA
