Civ4 Realism Mod (Extended Gameplay and tweaks)

This is my first post, so "Hello" to all!
I'm going to try out your Mod right now, even though VanillaCiv is really great imho ur going in the exact direction I want, thanks for your work!
One suggestion i already have:
Lower the sucess-percentage of the SDI and move it further up the techtree. I once read an article about it in an german sciencemag and they made pretty clear that even under the best circumstances (meaning introduction of usable now-SciFI-Goodies like satellitebased Laser/Proton or whatnot killerrays as an addition to the more conventional Anti-missile-missile-technology) the interception-rate against modern ICBMs in an worstcase(east vs west) scenario would simply not matter. I'm sorry but i cant dig up more precise information though i tried for now, maybe one of the native-english-warmongers can help out? Maybe even split ICBM in two versions, early one and improved with multiple warheads, SDI would be far more effective against the first one!?!

Well, with the patch out, the mod will likely need some adjustments in any case. I certainly hope Jaynus is okay, but if the mod 'dies', I'll likely have to bite the bullet and make my own mod by intergrating some of the other mods out there, such as Lost Units and such... Thank god for Compare It and Jedit!
 
Information on strange Scoring mode.

I had a game on prince difficulty, normal size map terra style and won in 1420 by diplomatic victory. Under realism mode.

The score was said to be 141K, i was quite surprised, and finally didn't appear in the HOF.

Seems to be something weird, i was looking strangely at such a score :rolleyes:

Don't know what is it, so no. Just realism mod (don't even know how to activate two mods at the same time ^^). Here is screenshot of the Hall of Fame, could be seen only after launching the game again, was empty after the game, not even previous games.

 
Alright, in that case lets start developing a new simular mod for 1.09. I will contribute as much as I can, but I can't do it alone. Who's in?
 
give the guy a break, i love this mod too, but there is a chance something is happening in his real life, could be anything. i know i would be really cheesed if ppl abandoned my work out of impatience.

This is a great mod. I love the extra turns and the longer game.

I hope the original poster updates it... mainly the muskets issue.
 
This is very good, i was hoping that it would be a little much longer, and worker speed halved. they can build stuff far too quick..
 
PLEASE:D PLEASE :D combine this super mod with:
lost wonders
lost units
superciv
real fort
simple greatperson mod and maybe also the other great person mod

i would do it myself i was wasn't so darn stupid at computers...and spelling ;)
or maybe show me how to do it myself?

these mod combined whit your mod would get CIV4 a bit closer to what i is surposed to be...

(how can anyone relaese a CIv game whitout the great wall?:crazyeye: !?!?! )
 
I think Jaynus has left us (one way or another...) but there is a new realism mod (the FX thing). Now, if we can get that FexFX person to combine his mod, the two "lost" ones and superciv, it'd do it for me - I would be a happy bugger.
