CivDip XIII - Dancing with the Devil!

French Army retreats to Gascony

I don't flipping believe it. Arminius, I'm almost positive I submitted an order for Den-Nth, earlier in the turn. It wasn't with the rest of my orders, but I didn't include it because I thought you already had it. I know it's been a loooong time since we last resolved, so might it have slipped your mind? Could you check through your e-mail and PMs for it, please? That move should have opened Germany's game. If it's not there, then I apologise for casting doubt on your thoroughness, since in that case I'm clearly an idiot myself. I don't want to slow the game down because of it. It's frustrating, though.

I really don't want a German fleet in the North Sea thank you VERY much.

England build Fleet London - thank you :)

My apologies to all fellow players. A combination of factors including increased schedule demands, imminent carpal tunnel syndrome due to the demands of my job, mounting depression, and a desire to substitute real interaction for virtual, is causing me to minimise my online activities and commitments. I might perhaps be able to continue submitting orders, but I will not be able to put in anywhere near the effort the game requires as far as exchanging press goes. Therefore, I am stepping aside in favour of another who can be the kind of opponent you all deserve-- I'm sure someone will step in as a reserve. Once again, my apologies.

And don't anyone dare think I'm giving up-- I still hope that Germany can at least share in a win in this game. Good luck to my successor.

France disbands Army Paris.

Shall we sort out all this Germany business (find a replacement and give significant time for diplomacy) before next moves are due? I'd appreciate it; might as well ask for a formal extension just to be sure.

sounds like a good plan to me

Me too :D

I'll need to concentrate my efforts on my Redscape game at the moment as my survival is on a knife-edge as the nasty German destroyed the Turkish in Ukraine and is well on the road to a solo.

On a lighter and different note, why was this game named "Dancing with the Devil"?

Okay, I'm drawing a blank as to who the bearded dude in the dress is...

It's poor form to simply sit back and wait. Players, I think we're going to have to take the initiative as our GM has, as he explained, rather sporadic internet access. I'll PM slappy (though he clearly reads the thread) and Magnus. Hopefully as signed reservists one of them will answer a call to arms. They're both damn fine players, so if either takes the helm of the German ship of state, we should be good to go.

Could we have some indication from Arminius as to whether or not he remains with us? Since we have this delay, if Arminius is suffering severely from lack of readily available internet access, it may not be a bad plan to procure a permanent replacement (again, this is just assuming he cannot fulfill his duties through no fault of his own). My obvious nomination would be Gnarfflinger, if he was agreed, as he was so good about it before.

I've spoken to Keirador. Sorry, folks. Too much on my plate to join in right now. Best of luck finding your new Kaiser.

I can still judge, but I'm off the hook until we get two replacements...

I forgot to order a Dr. Pepper last turn anyway...

Both registered reservists opted out. We may have trouble.
Please, if anyone knows of anyone who might play, now would be an excellent time to chime in.
