Civdip XV: Gunboat fun

Could all three players please take a look at this map for the Fall 09 turn and tell me if they see any errors? I gave Germany and Russia the only available retreats, so far as I could see.

Wow, I didn't know you were playing either, Magnus.
And yes, kitten's particular style of diplomacy is difficult to disguise. There have been few uncertainties as to the identity of the Turkish master.

I was Germany, I was not in CD, but my play may have suggested otherwise...

Ah ok. Not that it matters much, but did you ever submit a retreat? I've placed the Berlin army in Prussia.

There was an error in the last adjudication, Ambuel was notified of it but never submitted a corrected map - there was a standoff in LYO, so it should be empty. Look at the orders for the Spring 1909 and you will see it.

I recognized Kitten not so much from his style of play, but one word in particular only he uses...

No wonder I had so much bother with Italy, gah!

Before you interfered I was sweeping all before me with great ease. To be honest given my position (all out attack) when the counter came it is amazing I survived at all and a curse upon the German Kaiser for his forces coming to oppose me and look at what happened to him!

No-one else uses this word?

The mind boggles :crazyeye:

I see it must have been soon after that you decided to go after me, rather than France with results that have now become apparent.

Okay so LYO should be empty, the French F LYO should be F SPA (SC) and A SPA should be A GAS. Any other errors before I post a corrected version? I'll give you 24 more hours to point anything out, but that's it.

Next: I'm assuming everyone approves of Dreadnought filling in as the Tsar?

In that case, unless anyone objects, I guess I'll start the clock running on the deadline for Fall, 1909:

Orders are due to me by 11:59pm GMT on Friday, January 13

My email address, in case Magnus or Dreadnought don't still have it, is yoslappy AT gmail DOT com.

Please submit prelim orders asap (but wait until 24 hours from this post to be sure the map is finalized ;)).

PS: Please mark your orders "GF" at the very start of the subject line to prevent me getting them mixed up with my other game. RFE players, please submit orders in two separate emails as I shall be keeping two separate email folders. Thanks!

You are the only person I know who sticks an 'e' at the end of Sevastopol!

I knew I had to contain you or you'd have swept the board, so I organized the anti-turk alliance, unfortunately in the meantime France got out of control, but for me to survive between the powerful F&T I had to be nice to one of them... until it reached the point when I had to do something to keep France from getting 18+.

There have been no further corrections so this is the map you're stuck with (see attached below).

I've already posted the announcement re: Tsar Dreadnought and the Fall '09 deadline above.

One last question on which I'd like responses here in the forum: shall I be ruthless on NMRs or flexible? I'll take the majority view, but if there's no majority preference, I'll lean towards ruthlessness, given the need to slap this bastard into high gear ;)

I'd like to think I helped that anti-Turk alliance. . .

Hah, Magnus I wish I'd known it was you. I feel quite the fool now, outlining specific moves for your strategy plans. Appropriate for the newcomer I thought you were, but I feel like a patronizing bastard knowing who it really was.
