Idea...

How about we do this

*contact all other Civ sites that we can
*ask them for thier membership numbers
*minus any members that are in 2 or more
*ask those people to choose one "home" site
*total up the numbers and make a number that is timesable by square roots {1-2-4-8-16-32-64-128, etc...} that includes each site. then divide them {for example, there are 128 slots, CivFanatics gets 34, Apolyton, 31, etc...}
*make a "pre playoff" season for about a year, where people play eachother for fun
*at a givin date, all sites make a scelection of the players that will play
*then a tournament starts.

if this takes off, I will take part as a "Observer" in exchange for not playing. I'll set up who playes who in the tournament, and with a little help, total the memberships myself, etc...

anyone want to see this get off the ground? just say so.

It appears that he proposing some sort of tournement, presumably civ. Apolyton has had some of theses in the past with other site. They were on a samller scale and were not, IIRC, sigle elimination, but rather a pool system (divide into pools of x each, every body in the pool plays each other, the 1/2 in each pool with best record advance)

well first I was thinking of just a fanatics-apolyton war, but I tried to include everyone, but I can go back to the original plan. it would be like a number of 3v3 games or something or maybe a 1 on 1 war, admin to admin... anyways, it seems like no one likes the idea, so trash it.
