civics you dont use

Serfdom is the only one that I have never used - my main problem is always having too many workers with nothing to do. All the others have their uses.

I never need serfdom as my workers have normally done job already.

yes i agree slavery i allawys adopt i like the optoin

welcome to civfanatics
come to the dark side luke

I've used all of the civics, but the one I use the least is: STATE PROPERTY. If I'm going for a military win, it's usually over before Communism is available. If not, I want the benefits that Free Market have!

Mostly Mercantilism and Caste System. The first because by then I am almost always in contact with other civs-and the trade income is simply to valuable to give up (now, if this civic gave a bonus to the maintainance of far-flung cities, I MIGHT consider it, but not merely for a free specialist). The second because my cities can rarely support unlimited specialists anyway-without starving-so its better just to stay on slavery UNTIL you can get Feudalism!
As far as pointless civics which I only change for the SAKE of changing? Well that would be slavery and Hereditary Rule. The first because the costs of pop-rushing are usually much too high to make it worthwhile and the second because I rarely have happiness issues-so these are two which I feel need to be REALLY improved.

I never (or rarely) use Caste system, Beauracracy, or Theocracy.

Nationhood, Caste System, Pacifism.

I'm confused as to why so many do not use merchantilism. I use it as soon as I get it to get the free specialists. And every time I've ever switched to free market, my gold goes down and techs take longer. What am I doing wrong, because I think merchantilism is the best?

Just don't use Environmentalism. All the other civics are eligible to be adopted in my game, depending on the situation. I never play with Spiritual Trait.

I've never used Nationhood or Police State, and have only used Environmentalism and Hereditary Rule a couple of times when I first started playing.

Police state, serfdom, state property, environmentalism.

serfdom, others all come to use on higher diffs when happiness and health pains and you cannot build magnificent cities with all those buildings

i dont think i have ever used police state in any game. And unless I have a small empire i rarely use Bureaucracy
