That's not really true. Comparably, the Monitor did a lot more damage to the Virginia than vise versa. The Confederate ship had to go back to Norfolk for a good deal of repairs.

In the end a draw is a draw
Me thinks with an Ironclad for each side we have a cool package (I'd advise to use Wyrmshadow's German-built Chinese Ironclad, Jun Yuan to play the role of the larger vessels of the conflict)

Amazing unit! I was trying to make a civil war scenario a long time ago, and wished someone had made this.

Not to mention the Union gunboats on the Mississippi some of which were ironclads. Man, I'd love to have those for my scenario.

Yep. On my map for my Civil War scenario, the Mississippi is navigable.

Sweet. IS the Misisioppi the Only One you can navigate? What about the Ohio? And the Patomic? And all thoes other rivers? X.x!

The Ohio is navigable to a point, but the Potomac is not. The Rio Grande, St. Lawrence, and the Amazon Rivers are also navigable. (The map encompasses most of the Americas).

Well... these steamboats would be very surprised to hear that...

EDIT: Though I will admit that a very large portion of the river is not navigable, the portion from Laredo to the mouth of the river is indeed navigable.

Yeah. I think it's very different from how it used to be, but the western portion has never been navigable though... at least not since humans have been there.
