Civilization Request Thread

Please can someone make a solid Ukraine civ? One that focuses on either the World Wars or the cossack period (Cossack were originally Ukrainian). There is some huge potential for a good Ukraine civ (Kievan Rus doesnt really count)

And maybe someone else will do it.... You should be more general. Those modders are occupied with other projects, I believe.

So, having just seen Fury Road the other day, we totally need a War Boys Civ. Some ideas:

Leader: Immortan Joe (Obviously)

UA: The Gates of Valhalla - Combat Units provide :c5faith: Faith upon Death

UU: War Boy - Replaces Warrior, moderately stronger than the unit it replaces, but loses strength each turn outside of friendly territory until strength is slightly less than that of the unit it replaces.

The Civ might also be a good candidate for having a restriction to only one actual city, given the source material, only being able to puppet conquered ones. I'm torn between a second unique unit and a unique building/wonder based on the huge waterfall in the Citadel. I do have an idea for the second unique unit however:

UU: War Rig - Replaces Great General, has twice the movement of the unit it replaces, but can't move without a War Boy stationed on it (Like a plane on a carrier, if that's possible)

Now for my next idea, The Ghana Empire. I know there are Ashanti (around modern Ghana) civs, but I am talking about the Ghana EMPIRE, which was near Mauritania and Mali. The Ghana empire doesn't exist anymore but obviously Ghana does. Again I don't know how to make civ v mods so I can do some reasearch.

Edit: They can be a trade based civ, as they were a huge trading power at the time, particularly rich in gold (obviously) and salt.

Winter

Leader: Night's King

UA: Winter is coming. Every tile owned by Winter will be a snow or ice tile. Can only recruit White Walkers, only one for each city owned. Does not pay unit maintenance. Units die if not on a snow or ice tile. Units can move accros ice.

UU: White Walker. Replaces Warrior. If an enemy unit dies while within ten tiles of a White Walker it will revive and join Winter.

UB: White Walker Altar. Replaces Shrine. Can only be build in the capital. After you end your turn every tile bordering a snow or ice connected to your capital shall be covered by snow or ice.

This would be a fun faction as they would literally be spreading Winter accros the map. This while constantly growing a larger army and breaking the enemy economy with the snow.

You do realize that snow and ice have no yields right?

The concept is very interesting, but also has some very important flaws, like how the snow tiles limit your own civilization's growth or how the snow expansion rate is too fast. In my opinion, the UA should be changed as to comprise the snow conversion and the UB's snow expansion. The parts in the UA regarding the White walker should also be relocated to the UU itself and for logical reason the UU's ability should be limited to units that die on snow tiles. As for the UB, I'd scrap it.

Crimean Khanate
Leader: Devlet I Giray
UA: The Crimean-Nogai raids:
A unit that pillages an improvement will NOT use one movement point. When a city is conquered, gain a hurry :c5production: production* of a unit, building or Wonder in your first four cities. Gaining a city through a trade deal does not count, and it can only happen once per enemy city.
* Much weaker than Great Engineer's boost.
UU1: Jasyr - replacing the Worker. Low :c5gold: gold and :c5production: production cost.
UU2: Nogai rider - replacing the Knight: Knight's characteristics and +20% :c5strength: Combat Strength when fighting in OPEN Terrain. (NO Hills, Forest or Jungle).
OR
UB: Divan - replacing the Constabulary. +2 :c5happy: Happiness and +10% :c5gold: Gold in this city if connected to the Capital. Requires no :c5gold: Gold maintenance.

Has some one made a William Wallace civ yet? If not then I lay claim to it's production! Also how do you add the symbols when you write? I can't seem to activate them.

Caucasian Imamate
Leader: Imam Shamil
UA: Children of the mountains:
Mountains provide +2 :c5faith: Faith and +1 :c5culture: Culture. Workers may construct Improvements around the mountains (in neutral territory) on tiles that are within one tiles' distance from the mountain.
UU: Dzhigit - replacing the Lancer. Cost: 185 P/370 F. Combat: 25. Movement: 6. May cross mountains.
UB: Aul - replacing the Castle. Castle bonus and +2 :c5strength: Defense from each Mountain tile in city.

Kingdom of Pontus
Leader: Mithridates VI
UA: Cultural medley:
:c5culture: Culture costs of acquiring new tiles reduced by 15% (max. 60%) in the city for each World Religion that has at least 1 follower in this city. Gain a :c5culture: Culture bonus for meeting a City-State and civilization.
UU1: Scythed chariot -replacing the Horseman. Cost: 75 P/150 F. Combat: 12. Movement: 4. Abilities: Panic - Enemy units receive -10% :c5strength: Combat Strength when adjacent to any unit with this promotion.
UU2: Bronze-shield pikemen - replacing the Spearman. Cost: 56 P/112 F. Combat: 11. Movement: 2. Bronze-shield pikemen has Cover I promotion.

Like this:[ICON_X] where X is the thing you're adding. The go in all caps and are using exactly what they are in game, except for faith which is [ICON_PEACE].

Alright, how about this (note that this would only work within the confines of larger ASOIAF mod, where tech is restricted, civs are more specialized, and new mechanics are in place):

The Others - The Night King - The White Shadows - May not gain settlers, acquired cities are automatically razed, but their cultural borders remain in your empire (borders lost to conquering civs). Capital has no cultural border limit. Tiles inside your borders are gradually turned to snow (coast/ocean into ice), and tiles just outside your borders are gradually turned to tundra (these tiles will revert back if your territory recedes. Gain 1 of each yield for every snow, ice, or tundra tile within your territory.

UU - White Walker - Replaces Warrior/everything else (mounted version exists with +2 movement once horses are available). Has 1 combat strength for every 3 snow/ice/tundra tiles within your territory. May not traverse anything other than snow, ice, or tundra (if it does it dies). Recruits any slain units within 2 tiles (including yours), unless they died off of a snow/ice/tundra tile or were burned to death. Starts with the 'Fear' promotion.

UB - Frozen Alter - Replaces Shrine - Gives the 'White Shadow' promotion to units trained in this city: -1 sight for enemy units within two tiles of a unit with this promotion (stacks)
