So no one is going to comment on my Eureka Rebellion idea? Fine be like that! I'll leave you guys to your video game fantasies. Buuut, before I go, anyone have an idea for a Prussian civ? No not the German one's, the original Prussians. Before the Germans came and killed them all.

It's an very interesting idea. Reminds when one time someone made a civ around the Whiskey Rebellion.

As for the Old Prussians, it could be lead by Widewuto, a great king from Old Prussian Mythology. Their UA could be around Faith and its Pantheon. Their UB could be a Romuvan Temple that could give all units built in city that has a Temple constructed in it a unique promotion. Their UU could be a Great General replacement called the Rikīs but its use, I am not sure.

Rikīs? What does it mean and where did you learn it from?

Is there any chance of a Jeffersonian America coming out soon? I have some ideas if one would like to hear them...

In Old Prussian means lord or ruler and what the chiefs of the Prussian tribes were called.

Ah ok. I could come up with something for a Prussian/Pruthenia civ. I could grant them a lot of defensive bounces like in ck2.

So I've got free time on my hands and because Freedom is hard to grasp, I'll just quickly put out my Old Prussian idea. With help from Lelouch Vi.

Leader: Widewuto

UA: For The Old Gods
All enemy units killed within your borders grant a sum of faith upon their death. Changes depending on era and unit. The pantheon of your religion spreads to others cities at double the rate than normal.

UB: Romuvan Temple (temple replacement)
Same benefits as a normal temple, but all units trained in a city with a Romuvan temple gets the Chosen of Perkunas promotion. Which grants a 10% defensive bonus in your border and a +2 faith from all kills. Of course if Historical Religions is installed their religious bias would be Romuva. Other wise it would probably be Catholicism.

UU: Rikīs (great general replacement)
Same as a normal great general. But instead of constructing citadels they instead build fortified towns. They do the same as a Normal citadel, but you can train both military and civilian units there. Has limited construction options.

I just thought of this now so there may be flaws. We'll there will be flaws in there, since I'm human and all things humans create are flawed. So no need to think about. Any ways if you want suggest improvements for this mod! Unlike like the way you treated my Eureka civ. *sniff*.

Pantheons don't spread at all so double rate is still zero. Unless the UA involves pantheons spreading. As for the Chosen of Perkunas promotion I think its hardcoded that units gain faith from kills based on combat strength of the dead unit. So a set number of faith can't be generated when killing a unit. The Great General replacement seems pretty cool.

I couldn't remember if pantheons spread to cities or not. In this case they spread to other cities. So your saying that the only way to gt faith from kills is based of the combat strength of the unit that has just been killed not from a set number? I like the great general replacement as well. I don't know what buildings the fortified town should have. Since a citadel plus barracks plus armoury plus castle plus arsenal plus military camp plus unit and another great general stationed inside would be more than a hundred percent impossible to capture.

My attempt at The Prussians:

The Prussians

Leader: Widewuto

UA: Men of the Landscape: Cities following your Pantheon or your Religion have a +20% :c5production: Production bonus while building Land units. Whenever a Great Prophet is born, a Rikis is born.

UB: Romuvulan Temple: Shrine replacement. +2 :c5faith: Faith rather than 1. Units built in this city gain +15% :c5strength: Combat Strength if in the same tile as the one the city was built on.

UU: Rikis: Great General replacement. Units within the range of the combat bonus ignore terrain costs and heal an additional +10 HP.

Correction: it is possible to code via a dummy building that grants X faith for X turns after you kill someone.
I think.

GPuzz, your design is neat(and synergetic) but that UA needs rebalancing.

Ah terrain cost, I all ways forget that that's a thing. Your Prussian civ is very simple and effective. Maybe your version could be used for the Old Prussians while my version could be used for a Pruthenia civ.

What do you mean when you say dummy building?

By "dummy building" he means that you can make a building that is invisible to the player that grants the effects you want. While the building itself would be added and removed using Lua, it can be less complicated than manually adjusting the yields a player gets with Lua (and the value is shown automatically in places where it counts your yields).

You could probably manually alter the yields with Lua and use JFD's Dynamic Top Panel if you don't want your yields to show as being from buildings, but I am not experienced with that.

Ah I see how it is. If I need help with this at a future date I'll go ask an experienced modder for help. I really should start working on the mods I have started on before I propose new ones. But I kinda want to talk about a Cuman and Volga Bulgarian civ.

Edit I believe there is already a Cumania civ. Makes my job easier.

William IV of the United Kingdom seems like a good civ ideal.
