This final hint should give it away.

Clue 1: Denmark
Clue 2: Tidal island
Clue 3: Colony
Clue 4: Wonder
Clue 4.5: Australia
 
Sydney?

(Probably Cerilis is right...)
 
Actually, it was really easy after Clue 4.5, as I think was intended.

I merely searched for the terms that are in the clues and really close to the top (or top) was Sydney Opera House. Good clues nonetheless, because Otaman is starting with the most difficult and getting easier, which is the way it should be :)

It sits on the Bennelong Point, originally a tidal island before 1821.

Sydney was established as a colony.

Clue 4.5: Australia
The Sydney Opera House is a wonder in Sydney, Australia.
