For Coastal tiles yes, for navigable rivers noDo you need Sailing tech to Disembark?

Haha had the same game plan idea. I also found Vinicunca like ten tiles NW of my Torres del Paine settlement, so became 4x (+3x from 6 natural wonders) yields, but I got these screenshots before I found it and don't have access to my game rn. Got very lucky with 6 of 7 being in the homelands and all unclaimed, although not having to go to war to secure any was a bit anticlimactic. We felt like double Natural Wonder yields in antiquity was too strong (it wasn't.). But we will allow you to have triple NW yields in Antiquity instead:

Introducing the settlement that will build EVERY Exploration and Modern Era wonder from here on out.

Haha, Car-Thera-ge! that's a good one
How did you find a Thera with Coastal tiles around it? Every time I see it, there are Ocean tiles around it which hinders circumnavigation of the continent in the Ancient Era. Unless that’s because I had been using YnAMP ….Haha had the same game plan idea. And as Inca too... Why not pick the flattest city possible?View attachment 735330
Titled - "Why AI??! Why?????"
I guess Amina gave Tubman and Charlemagne some of her settlements away in a peace deal, but really Harriet??! That's a good capital location to you?? She's literally on the other side of the map....
Yeah I'm tempted to say she's the strongest leader in the game for large and huge map types.
Apparently, your civ transitioned into Gungans, after the victory opened a new era for youWon the Military Victory by building Project Ivy.
Then continued the game - One More Turn.
Then I built the World Fair and First Crewed Space Flight... all in the middle of the Ocean Apparently

Well, in my experience, since at least Civ V, almost any DOW from any number of AI Civs is lol time - but that's because of the oft-discussed and derided Civ AI . . .Is it really a proper Civilization game, when after receiving a triple DoW on Deity you just lol it away?
While there's nothing stopping us doing the same thing, which keeps it fair, I do believe they need to bring back some kind of loyalty system.I'm so sick and tired of this bs. Ashoka has plenty of land and resources around his home to claim and build up, and perhaps become a real threat. Instead, first thing, he wants to pet my sheep over the border fence:

And after a while the results of his special settling operation very predictably looked like this:

It also goes without saying that Ujjayini was given to me in a peace deal, I even did not have to fight for it. By the way, I now have permanent -4 influence penalty until the end of the era for the burning of Risila. Why is it so that the player not only has to clean up the litter that the moronic AI drops at the door, but is also punished for the AI's stupidity? What about my perceived heartlands, inherent claims? Yes, I get some one-off 60 influence for the aggressive settle, but -4 every turn will be much more until the end.
And after a while, yes he declared on me again, together with a couple other Civs from that could be from the Moon for all the impact that they had, and after having all his troops destroyed he offered a peace deal again and another town that he managed to settle. Is it really a proper Civilization game, when after receiving a triple DoW on Deity you just lol it away?
