I was reading the instruciton manual for kicks the other day while, (well you have to go to the bathroom some time), and I found myself laughing uncontrollably.

Warning: If you feel tired, get some sleep. lololol
Do they know us, or what?

Warning: Take a 15 minute break every hour - Yeah, right

If you don't believe me, read the manual....I know most of you, like me, just started playing....not too tough to figure out.

Yeah, I saw that one too. Apparantly they are afraid of being sued...

I'm surprised they didn't say anything about holding it until your blatter is about to burst...lol.....lol.

For me, eating is a bigger worry. Like when you realize that it's 8:00pm on Saturday and you've been playing since you woke up at 6:00am (couldn't sleep because you were dreaming about Civ) and haven't eaten anything yet.

Damn! This is a "married w/ children" fantasy come true. You go man!

:goodjob: Amen to that brother. I've been dreaming of doing nothing all day saturday except play civ3 or any computer game for that matter. The wife usually puts a stop on that after the first hour though.

If only I could get my wife to like computer games as much as I do! :D

You'd be amazed at what you can get away with in exchange for cooking dinner every night. My fiancee comes home from work at 8:00 or later, and dinner is ready. Do that every day for a week, and I'm allowed to play all day Saturday. The fact that I wouldn't let her cook if she wanted to doesn't even factor in. ;)

that's so funny! i feel like i'm at one of those support group meetings. i always have trouble sleeping after a long day of civ, i keep seeing little workers building railroads in my dreams. i thought i was nuts.

You are nuts. :D

A little quiet please. The wifer is down w/ the three year-old. If the baby wakes up I'm screwed. Now, its off to civ-land for daddy. Night-night, everyone!

Yeah, I thought that was funny too. But for real fun, Read a bottle of children's cough syrup and it said "Do not operate heavy equipment." on the label! Now that's Funny!

Yeah, but then you would never get to play!

Count your blessings!:D :D

This just happened to me: The GF 3.0 Bug program when from teh whinig stage into the Let-me-try stage. Now she has the CD and calls me every 10 min and I have to tell her what to do with that settler..... :(

Dralix ------- nice to see some1 else knows the key to shutting up the gf/wife. I'm in the same boat,,,,, even the i wouldnt let her cook part. That cooking dinner can lead to less corruption and keep the populus happy is amazing. Skip cooking that dinner and the whole civilization goes into revolt tho. The bedroom is usually the first improvement destroyed.

Also taught girlfriend to play. This is as entertaining as it is convenient. Just last night she was getting ganged up on by a number of civs. She asked me what happens when you use nuclear weapons and I suggested she try it. Checked in later to see how it was going and she had stopped using nuclear weapons after her first one, despite still getting pounded, because "they are too destructive. Look what it did." I countered that she was losing the war and she said she'd rather lose the game than ruin the planet.

Now that's a woman for you!

I guess the "nuke the world attitude because I'm losing" is a guy thing.

Seriously though, I think if I could convince my wife to play she would end up being more ruthless than me! I mean I've experienced the kind of damage she can dish out for playing Civ3 too long!

Killer and Jason Fox you guys are indeed lucky that your soulmates have decided to give Civ3 a try. I agree that it's just as much fun watching your wife/girlfriend/fiancee play as it is to play the game yourself.

I have been trying to convince my wife to try Civ3, but she always refuses... she says it is a "diabolic thing"...

Oh yes I`m lucky! But now I couldn`t play for three straight days  and I`m getting severe withdrawal symptoms ;)

Also, when I see her, all we do is she playys CIv and I help and watch. Fun, but I`d sometimes prefer to do something else! For tomorrow evening she promised me a sumptious meal - I guess I`ll be the one cooking it, as usual!
