Civilopedia

Actually, a lot can be found in the Assetx->XML->text folder. Just modify it right there. Create a tag, put something in for each language, then go and put the name of the tag in the XML file that the whatever is put in. (i.e. unitinfos.xml)

Is it necessary to put in something for every language?

If you just want to add some text, the best way is to use Kael's editor that can be found in FfH directory (FfH Editor.xlsm). That is, if you have Office 2007.

You may only add/edit the english text, and after exporting it will just paste the english text for other languages if no translated one is in. Also, it is easier for Kael to use your text if you decide to share it. Not to mention that it is much harder (near to impossible) to make a file-breaking mistake when editing xml spreadsheet than xml file itself.

If there is no english text (or at least english text set for other languages), then when the game is run with other language than english, some serious bugs happen.
Hope that helps.

And I assume this FfH editor will not be made open office compatible anytime soon?

Open Office, fight the Man!

I think that it has be excell 2007 as both excel 2003 and open office do not support enough columns to accomodate all units and buildings in FfH.
Civilopedia/text sheet, on the other hand, probably can be converted to open office or older excell formats.

Yeah, I would love to switch to OpenOffice. But it is limited to only 256 columns which isnt nearly enough for the amount of Units and Events we have in FfH.

Just to see what would happen i opened the ffh editor.xlsm file in openoffice 3.0 and it opened without reporting any errors. But since i have never opened the file before, i don't know if everything is as it should be...

that MIGHT be enough
