CivIV and windows7

Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with windows 7 i.e. I can't get civ IV to work under windows 7.... This isn't strictly true I can get version 1.09 to work through the compatability issues.. But 1.29 and 1.74 will not run on my laptop win 7 dual core yada yada

The answer is plain and simple: The base game is not really compatible with Win7 (but the addons surprisingly are).

I play vanilla, Warlords, Bts, and Colonization on two Windows 7 machines. The only issue I've ever had is on one the opening movie won't show.
