Can anyone confirm that Kathmandu has changed to Religious and Venice to Mercantile? That post in the 2K Forums stated that.

That's why they are unchanged on my list

EDIT: that post has some other strange things as well
Claims that Genoa is a new city state
Has both Colombo and Sri Lanka
Lack of Stockholm and Helsinki from the changed city states' list
Missing latest info: Zanzibar is mercantile, Singapore changed to mercantile (from maritime)

Updated with a couple minor things. I believe they're practically finished by now (Except for a few CS's and Natural Wonders).

I believe they could be changed (although Mercantile is getting very crowded, so I doubt Venice will be), but I haven't seen any confirmation. The Colombo, Sri Lanka thing might be a carryover from Arioch's page, but I haven't seen anything even there confirming a change in Venice and Kathmandu.

Anyone has an idea why are there so many mercantile city states?
Hong Kong and Cahokia are also confirmed as mercantile...
It's already up to 10, while there are only 6 militaristic or maritime city states

Wow it really shows what a massive part of the city states are in europe, quite a shame really.

And there's only 2 Mercantile CS exclusive resources, anyway (Jewelry and Porcelain - and here I though each Mercantile CS would have its own resource, I'm so naive...)

Some of the unknown CSs, like Lisbon and Mombasa, smells like Mercantile, too. But I guess they could easily be Maritime, alongside with Manila and Jakarta (or the later is going to be Militaristic).

Anyway, it is always nice to see an American CS. I'll include Cahokia later (next week we'll have a lot of info and won't be able to play, so...)

Really good map !
You should shade Kazakhstan russian and mongolian though. The kazakh culture is very much like the mongolian culture in many ways and they share a common history, and russian is still more spoken than the kazakh language. (wikipedia: russian understanding: ca. 95%, kazakh : 74%)

Kirgyzistan should also be shaded mongolian, because of the same reason.
I also think there are some kazakh and/or kyrgiz cities in the mongolian city list

It was shown in the newest IGN video preview. Around 6 minutes in, you can see it in the drop-down diplomacy menu before war is declared.
