I only ask that a different leader is created for Korea. Namely, remove Kim Jong Il.

The only reason I make this silly request is because in his history to date, he has done nothing to merit being in the game. Being half-Korean and versed in the history of the war that tore the peninsula apart, it is of my opinion that is offensive to merit a ner-do-well to this or any other game.

Starting a very dangerous debate, but I suppose you are half-SOUTH-Korean. We should ask your northern brothers about that.

I'm aware of the sensitivity of the issue, but this is my opinion as someone who has lived here, on the southern half of this peninsula knowing the dangers that man can and has yet to impose, and always having to hear about the instability and suffering, as further proven by those who've actually defected and escaped.

I'm just asking, is there any merit in putting him in this game? Then again, that opens debate for a lot of other leaders you've added, but my opinion is simple, there are other Korean leaders worth being in this.

Just to be clear as well, I've no family or kin in the north, and I'll admit my opinions or knowledge originates from predominantly South Korean and American sources, as much as other sources of information that can be taken with a grain of salt.

I just think that, once he's already in the game, it would be much more offensive to northern koreans to take him out than it is offensive to southern koreans to maintain him in the game. Taking him out would be biased, don't you agree?

A solution for this could be create a North Korea civ, after all, he never governed the whole country.

And, on a side note, Brazil will destroy North Korea in 15 days, at the FIFA World Cup.

Probably the best solution is to have a NK civ. Civ is full of leaders with... questionable... interactions with humanity/society. Hell, stock Civ IV has Stalin, and Kim Jong has a long way to go before he's remotely that bad.

sorry for bad english. but what i mean is that i want a way to remove only the static leader heads, for example:
Republic of Honduras have 2 leaders, the National Congress(static) and Manuel Zelaya(animated), i want a way to remove only the National Congress leader.

I searched the folders and i got confused, also, in the Custom leaderheads folder, i can't find all the leaders that the mod added.

Firstly, i created this modpack and the selection on the choice well initially it was all from CIV4 Gold and i just made it compatible. Afterwhich i created more civilizations of my own and added leaderheads to it, and since Kim Jong was included in the CIV Gold pack i just converted it

Secondly as mentioned in the first post of my main thread here If by any means my mod seems offensive to anyone, i apologize. but i feel that to bring real life scenarios, and my mod initially wanting to create mostly modern leaders and especially current leaders wether they are bad or good, or did anything i will include them. I am being most objectional and not giving them merit or any form of support but rather to bigger perspecive to allow the player you and me and anyone to relive or re enact certain scenarios. If you dont like it just delete the leader file Kim Jong but i will not remove it from the modmod. As i feel a representation is important wether the bad or the good. If i remove this then i have to remove Hitler from germany. Which i feel is stupid. Since people must learn to accept that the man was a leader of germany , kim jong is a leader of one of the Koreas. or even Saddam Husein was a leader of Iraq. Wether or not they did bad or good, They where still leaders of the respective countries.

Thirdly keeping inline with my concept and the aim of this modpack and my modmod, is to remake current world situations/wars/etc. If i could for realisitc purposes i'll even put up osama bin laden as leader of the arabs, seems offensive to arabs yes. but if someone wanted to put him up as a scenario war against terror, it allows it. If people dont like it then it is modular by all means you can delete it.

And again i apologize for trying to be realistic and unbiased and to have fair view for the better of the game, and for the concept, But i will stick to it. And on apersonal note i firmly believe that all leaders at the begining and at times did Good for their country, just one decision they made wrecked their reputations. For even the worst leaders out there. But i am sure that atleast for them theres atleast one good deed that they did for their country before screwing it up. And for game purposes imagine this, Kim Jong Il leader of the Koreans, not socialist but rather Democracy and emancipation civics.

I do have the civilizations seperate though north and south korea, but for convenience i preffered to join them. If people want to use the 2 seperate i will gladly upload an addon, but they must delete the existing korea

Oh okay hmmm, well just go into your Hashishim Folder thats in the Rise Of Mankind/Assets/Modules/ path, and then go to custom civilizations --> Americas --> Honduras
It will be there, called the folder national
just delete that then open the CIV4civilizationinfos.xml file in the honduras directory, and scroll down to Leaders
And delete this whole thing:

<LeaderName>LEADER_HOND</LeaderName>
<bLeaderAvailability>1</bLeaderAvailability>
</Leader>

And done

The static leaderheads are all in custom civlizations folder and the directories are
Europe --> BosniaHerz
Europe ==> Chechnya
Europe --> Microstates of Europe
Asia --> Central Asian Union
Asia --> Microstates of Asia
Americas --> Haiti

That is all, thats static i think yeah.

i do understand your strong feelings about Kim Jong Il as i see you are from south korea. but bad guys are part of our human history i think they belong into the game as well. but since everything here is customizable you can just remove him for yourself.

Just edit him out once you have downloaded the mod.

Open this file; Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rise of Mankind\Assets\Modules\Hashashim\Custom Leaderheads\Asia\MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls and change the 1 under Kim Jong to a 0.

He will no longer load.

As far as I know Koreans, they are very proud people I think the issue which bother our friend JaeChunDaeSung is that there is only one Korea in the game, and it may be ruled by Kim Jong Il. He probably also doesn't want anybody to confuse SKR and NKR, as some poeple who doesn't care about the World's geography and politics may easily do.

Considering the post-war history of South Korea, they have a reason to be. Though it would be a waste of a perfectly good, computer caricature, then indeed the best solution would be to just make to Koreas, namely

Korea, and the Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea.
