Cleaning up the bug list sticky

I fired up the 221 version earlier today and noticed the food basket was fixed (I assume a stealth fix).

I believe the "Black Hole" bug was one of those graphics issues that had a risk of occuring (mid-late game, in my experience), and reloading a savegame could sometimes fix it. I've seen it many times, but never in games with the 217 patch. Alas, I have not kept my old savegames from before 217, and chances are that the map would look fine upon reloading anyway.

No matter; the CFC bug forum is providing a lot of valuable information, and if the bug list lacks verification a few places, it's probably no big deal. If there's a bug still, it'll probably get reported somewhere areound here. Good job, all! :goodjob:
 
The black hole bug reproduced for me in the save game in the bug thread, however, it may very well be fixed.
Many issues that were fixed will only affect new games and not repair the broken state of old save games.
One such issue that I forgot about was Crashes: 1 (Trying to load save file that uses DLC when you don't have it causes game crash - need error handling.)
Old saves will still crash, but any new saves work just fine.

I'm not sure on stealth 221 fixes, by the time I get around to looking into it the next big patch will probably be out.

Anyway, 5 categories mostly down, 7 to go... ;(
 
So glad I'm nearly done with this! A few things:
1) every single save game that was attached with an outside file host was deleted. Maybe the mods can repost the saves on the forums here to avoid that in the future?
2) We may need a 'by design' category
3) I can't test the rest of the mods/multiplayer bugs, there are only 5 or so if someone could look into those.

Here is what should be the 2nd to last update:
UI:
Still bugged: 11, 14,
Fixed: 15 (works properly in a new games only)
Other: 21 and 29 are duplicates, 5 (move to mods)

Gameplay:
Still bugged: 1, 2, 8 (move to text, this is by design but the civilopedia should reflect this), 10 (rename to "Natural Wonder issues" as there are several more), 11, 13, 16, 17, 19 (lighthouse now says "Ocean"), 21, 24, 25, 27, 28 (move to text)
Fixed: 4, 5, 12, 14,
Not reproducible: 6 7 and 15 all need prior save, 20 save deleted,
Other: 18 (move to possible bugs, I'm 98% sure this is by design), 22 & 23 (by design cities lose 1 tile radius when razed/liberated, if this was in 2nd tile you would keep the silver. Also this isn't such a big issue with +1 city spacing from last patch), 26 (this bug is covered in 25)

Diplomacy:
Still bugged: 6, 9 (firaxis looking into)
Fixed: 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 8,
Not reproducible: 7 (no crash, while the CS is at war with it's puppet we don't have a save before it happened to determine how that came to be)

Mods:
Fixed: 1 (though individual mods may break saves)
Not a bug: 2 (this is a hardware issue with routers)

Map:
Fixed: 1
Still bugged: 2, 3 (this is specific to the earth map script)

Misc:
Still bugged: 2, 4, 5 (move this to UI), 6, 7
Fixed: 3
Other: 1 (move to possible, it's most likely by design)

Possible bugs:
Fixed: 16, (3, 4 and 5 either aren't bugs or by design)
 
magnus333, ad Gameplay 14: Is this the same mechanic as having a naval military unit in a city and then the land based garrison is unable to attack from within the city? (Haven't tested for ranged garrisons.)

If so, this is either a feature or a bug still in 217 (haven't tested 221).

It's probably a good idea to have a "this is not a bug/this is by design" category.

Now that the patch is out, the following are fixed in addition to all the "fix coming" issues.

• Graphic: 10
• UI: 14, 17, 21 (first half fixed), 22, 24
• Crashes: 1, 2
• TEXT: 2, 3
• Automation: 7
• Gameplay: 1, 6, 18, 19
• Misc: 7


83 bugs still remain, but that's a lot less than the 257 when I first started. This will likely be my last post here for a while, I'm sure a number of other issues on the list are resolved if anyone wants to test through them. Cleaning up the list has certainly helped Firaxis identify and fix issues without spending a ton of time sorting through and verifying them. :)
