Colorado just plain sucks, don't try to cover it up.
Ill agree with you there, about midway through the season they just started playing incredibly poorly. But I was saying the Big 12 is a little underrated coming into bowl season, its not great but its not like these SEC/ACC/Big 10 teams are going to steamroll them like it seemed so many people thought...
Next year the Big 12 should be back. Nebraska is actually playing great offense right now under Callahan, Kansas' defense has steadily improved to where its now a top defense in the country, Iowa State should be better under third year QB Brent Meyer. Kansas State had a dissapointing year but should rebound, I think they were starting a freshman QB this year.
Texas is still gaining top recruits and Young will probably comeback. Oklahoma's Rhett Bomar threw 8 TD/1 INT in the latter half of the season add in Peterson, plus you know OU can recruit. Texas Tech is Texas Tech. Texas A&M is still recruiting well, maybe next year they can put it together. Oklahoma State is coached by one of the youngest coaches in the country, they should rebound. Even Baylor has improved.
The only teams I see mightily struggling next year would be Colorado, because Dan Hawkins is going to be injecting something completely different into that program. He is also going to figure out how messed up it really was. Missouri's biggest highlight in Brad Smith's time there is probably that Independance Bowl win...if thats the best Mizzou can do with thier best QB ever and one of the best dual threat QB's ever, then they need to fire everyone on the coaching staff. Thier not going to do that, so thier going to struggle.
btw, Ive gone 1-6 in my picks since the Alamo Bowl *sigh*
