The Swedish Riksdagskansler Axel Oxenstierna is immensily gratefull for the fact that the Spanish king recently emptied the Austrian Imperial treasury. The funds left for the Imperial army are believed to be insuficient when it comes to producing any form of force capable of resisting our mighty armies.

In Germany the main army under command of General Torstensson is preparing to besiege the Polish-Lithuanian city of Poznan. It is believed a major Imperial force has taken refuge there while the Swedish army was entangled in it's campaign in Brandenburg.

In Nya Sverige the "Fågel Grip" is preparing for it's journey back to europe, this time loaded with furs and pelts from Fort Kristina. Hunters have been dispatched to search for more sources of fur further north...

Savoyard troops repelled in the mountains of the lower alps, and a cannonade followed by a spirited cavalry charge secured the city of Nice for the French Crown. However, in fierce artillery exchanges, the defenders of Geneva inflicted considerable casualties on the beseiging forces.

Nevertheless, replacements were hurried in, and the seige continues.

Our traders in Goree have purchased their first shipment of slaves from the African interior, and these have been taken to the factory at St Etienne for processing and onward shipment to the new world plantations.

I thought you said a while back you were going to SEE (not Participate) in the running of the bulls this summer?

John (France) is gone till the end of the month, I think It can wait.

Henrik is gone till next week I think so this one is on hold for a couple of weeks.

No apologyzes needed - And yes, I saw some running bulls. But runnings bulls are very different from bullfighting

A report from Torstensson confirmed that the approaches has been dug and the seige of Poznan is underway as of the begining of this month.
The city is expected to be in our hands around the time of winter.
