Combined Civilization's Mods and Tweaks (CCMAT)

That sounds like a good advise.

You can use most of the mods listed. Great people info doesn't work; but doesn't crash. The extra unit information can't be used. I feel like there was one more that I found still not updated; but I think most the rest work. The big one to remove is the extra unit information. Just search for them one at a time. You can get all the ui's together with no issues that I am seeing. Just a thought.

I think all the balanced don't step on each others toes; so you can probably get a lot of them to work together.
 
Alright, so I downloaded the mod and I'm in love with it! But I need help fixing something!

The problem is, it's causing some difficulties with my units. For instance, the expanded option list of things to do now goes down, hiding it behind the unit's photo and information. As well, the unit promotions don't actually show up on them for me to select.
The settler and worker's list of commands are also missing.

This was the only mod I downloaded. Thank you very much!

Try Balanced - Combined: it makes up the bulk of CCMAT, and it comes with some of the UI mods that are included here as well.
 
Balance - Combined does it almost all. Only thing I really noticed is that my units lost the overview of how many XP they gathered (and thus when a next promotion is available). I couldn't find any other issues though.
 
I will have a new version of CCMAT up by the end of the night. Stay tuned!
 
That sounds good. Did jooyo give permission or was CCMAT licensed so you can freely use it?
 
None of this is licensed or licensable to anyone outside firaxis. That said, restarting this project is a good faith effort to restart a highly popular mod pack
 
I agree... this mod was the one I loved and missed once the update came. Reminds me of WOC on Civ IV when the mod creators just disappeared and left us all hanging.

Just a question, Sneaks: how do you plan to match Balance-Combined and PWM in one mod?
Both are taking the game as a whole on their own.
Don't get me wrong, I wish to have the best of both in one :) I'm just curious...

...and when do you think you can release this for testing? I wish to play it in the weekend (Saturday)...
 
The plan is to ATTEMPT to allow the user to enable/disable which one of the two they want. Obviously it will require the user to know not to leave both of them on at once. Thal's mod is really easy to incorporate thanks to its lack of .lua calls. PWM is far more complex in this regard so it will take me longer to integrate.

I could have something up soon, depending on how many pieces I want working when I release the beta. Right now I am working on getting Emigration/Random Events/Diffusion to work properly with Improved Demographics, since the mods call pop-up notifications in different ways. This has more or less caused me to have to rewrite half the code in these mods, so it has been a much slower process than I had hoped.
 
Sounds great. How about releasing what you got then, add others as you go. Probably have tweaks to fix along the way anywho.
