Oh well, thats why I don't drive (Also I have a comitment to the enviroment) but as its usualy some nut case running away from the police that causes the acident being a pedestrian is often just an invitiation fro more punishment (At least you were saved by your car, I nearly lost my foot last time I was in a traffic acident).
Get well soon
Any way I've been having an experiment with adding new resources to the main game of CivIII, just a few at first;
Timber- for use in making ships, long bows and phalanx pikes.
Building stone- of no particular type, could be granite, marble or even sandstone, but a strong building material is esential for building cultural improvements (In civ III a temple could be around for several thousand years, thats not going to hapen if its made out of wood or mud bricks) I use if for most early wonders (before the romans invent cement) and also for temples, cathedrals and city walls.
Sheep and fruit- one of the reasons for the industrial revolution was the agricultural revolution in the previous century and the agricutlural revolution was very much build on sheep. Also if you don't want to make Asia, Africa and America so much richer than europe when it comes to luxuries, after all the only luxuries to be found in europe currently are wine and furs, you can include citrus fruits as a mediterainian luxury resource- during the spanish civil war the entire republican economy was based on the export of citrus fruits.
Papyrus (or sheepskin or whatever else served for use before paper) I'm not sure about this one, because libraries are built all through the game so to have them rely on papyrus is fairly rediculous- however I've been using it as a requisite for the great library, as this wonder can often be a game winner for the player and I like to restrict its development to the nile and surrounds with the idea being to capture the great library from who ever builds it (egypt). How ever for an ancient era scenario this resource would be much more usefull in building libraries and universities.
Thats what I usetham for, but I would certainly recomend including the building stone resource (I can see you already have timber/wood) and the fruit wool luxuries (though I don't know what you would use them to replace, remember you can only have 8 luxuries)
Perhaps an idea would be;
Dyes---> somewhere on the shores of the Agean sea (a certain crushed sea creature has always been used to produce royal purple).
Silk----> East india would be the nearest likely source of Silk, though probably not till later in history (Comunication and trade between india and china was not very strong at this time).
Incense----> a persian luxury to be captured by Alexander.
Spices----> again an Indian resource (At this time india is looking far too well endowed with luxuries especialy when you include Ivory.
Ivory---->North african elephants offer military reinforcements as well as their tusks. Indian elephants dito.
Furs----> the nearest source of furs would be Germany, russia or gaul, the Scythians are unlikely to be willing trading partners.
Wine----> The traditional luxury of the mediteranian! not as popular in greece as in Italy or france however.
Gems----> Africa has always been the biggest source of the old worlds gems, however civilization in Asia minor has always owed much of its existance to the mineral wealth of the area (without the mineral wealth of Arabia the area would not realy have been worth the effort of agricultural Development).
Here are my resources with easy locate labels;
