I own all 4 except for Renegade, but only played through RA2.
I am dissappointed they create an entirely new story with Generals. They should continue the Tiberium storyline.
And the videos are also missing in Generals.
There are Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun;Firestorm is an addon to TS.But Kane from Tiberian Dawn/sun also was in the first Red Alert so,I still believe,it's all the same universe except Red Alert 2 which was just for making money (a good game nevertheless).
For some reason in Tiberian Sun I can't get past the 5th missions for both GDI and Nod. I've come really close to completing the Nod 5th mission, I realized exactly what I need to do. But the GDI 5th mission really confuses me.
I got bored with Tiberium sun after awhile because it was just a case of building a range of units and then attacking...RA 1 and 2 were good and I did complete both games unlike TS where I got close to finishing it.
Dune 2 rules, it was the first rts for me. C&C used to tie me to the computer. Cut severely in my civilization time... But the rts thing is pretty much over for me nowadays, I like the rest of turn based games (think I'm getting old...)
RA+RA2 are easier than TD/TS,but RA2 is only funny not really creating suspense like the Tiberian games.
So I go with hzm,Tiberian Dawn rules. The videos are better than these of Tiberian Sun (I don't like the 3rd person view there) and the world of TS is too different from ours to really integrate into. But TD is end of the 90s and there are so many good actors, missions and the epic story it's really the best.
Tiberium Dawn was the best ever game in the series right next to Red Alert 2. Both were structured and focus on two things: Penny pinching and tactics.
All other games of the C&C series rely on how fast you can churn out tanks...
