Community Call to Power Project

True, but that's 20-30 spread across a very wide area. Maybe it's just because I play Pangaea, but those 30ish squid are only on the perimeter on the earth, so there are literally ~25 tiles from one squid to the next. Of the 10 coastal cities I see in my current game, there are only 6 squid visible. On an island map, the number of squid that you encounter might be staggering, but for maps that are mostly land, it makes a nice medium. If I'm the only one playing land-heavy maps, I'll just adjust my personal files. Is anyone else having an overabundance of the squid?

Can increase the radius of squid placement if you think that will be better for overall balance.

@northboy we do have a dedicated thread for maps now,

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=472336

Also put spoiler tags around your picture :).

Looks good, remember though that you will need to manually add civ, minor civ, natural wonders etc locations when converting it to CCTP as this info gets stripped away, but doing it all like this should make that trivial as you have a good reference. Resource placements remain as they are in the worldbuilder map, i wouldn't be so cruel as to make you add all those manually ;)

hello to everyone its my first post on this forum :) and keep up the good work to all CCTP Developers. I played Civ5 a lot and Community Call to Power project is one of my favourite mods ;)

Thanks! :goodjob:

Also, the 'mission' part for a nation. Is that going to roll over once YNAEM is implimented? I am making the map I have now to be able to be played with this mod.

Oh, and you all know that anyone can create a thread correct? It doesn't just have to be me, Fires, Horem, or Gilgamesch; if there's something that you want to say that doesn't fit into any of the threads already, feel free to start a new one. :)

I have had the same bug in two games in row. 2nd game after the patch? Ater I reach the Medieval era the only two techs showing are drama and compass, and the 2nd game after I got drama compass would not come up when I clicked on it. Luckily I have the IGE and when I got compass all the other techs I skipped showed up. I am on slow speed and huge map in that is relevant.

I have vanilla civ5 on steam with latest version.
But neither fanatics version nor steam workshop version works , it installs it but crashes just before the civ leader image and talking section.

i ve renamed DLC to _DLC as well

@draedan: There is a vanilla version in the OP, but it is no longer being supported. You might have your reasons, but I strongly suggest getting G&Ks; the gameplay and combat are much improved over vanilla. And then you can play CCTP :D

thanks, I've bought and fixed the problem :D

now, I'm playing at SLOW ( epic , 3rd selection ) as speed , but it seems the tech goes way slow.
The mod is designed to play at normal speed ? what would you advice me , I normally play at slow to feel the game better, but now it is getting boring slow :D

I got a - %50 modifier on science , playing at empire difficulty with Romans , why do I have that modifier ? game rule ?

Its balanced for normal speed atm. Slow speed is under going a rebalance as we speek(done upto industrial era so far). As for it going slow, Ancient does go slow, it soon speeds up once you have writing and build libraries. Aim is about 15-20 turns per tech(40ish at start) on Slow speed once your in to classical. You looking at around 150 turns, give or take, per Era on Slow. I have set it this way so that you get to experience about 60% of each Era.

Yeah, the modifier is because the game has a hard cap on the amount of beakers a tech can require. To work around that, science output is halved so the tech cost can be lowered. And yes, it is designed to be played on Standard speed, but updates may be made to balance other speeds :)

*beat by Horem :/ ()

I have just about finished the restructure of science chrome, so the modifier is no longer around :), What im pacing Slow speed off as we speak(takign a while now about 3m a turn in industrial era, 6/8 civs left Arabia way out in front, me running 3rd/4th with 11 cities 10-25 in size).

Edit:

I'll post the files for anyone that wishes to test it a bit later.

Nope, have not seen them yet, it should not effect it much unless your drasticly changing buildings/policies/improvements at the same time? This is a list of files changed:

  • Governments.xml
  • GovIdeology.xml
  • GovSystems.xml
  • Improvements.xml
  • Features.xml
  • MonopolyBuildings.xml
  • Specialists.xml
  • Projects.xml
  • Buildings.xml
  • GameText.xml
  • MonopolyText.xml
  • PolicyText.xml
  • BuildingClasses.xml
  • GlobalDefines.xml

If there is any crossovers I can pull the files form GitHub when you update it and merge the changes, no biggie and wouldnt take long :)

Ronjon - Are you using any other mods? Or a custom map?
I am using the two units per tile mod, but not any custom maps. Another bug I have run into is a weird one. I cannot build the squid the squid distribution center in one city although I definitely have squid netted, and was able to build it previously in a different city. Also am playing on edit did not know if you wanted a report on how the game is at slow speed, have gotten pretty far and there are some things that could be tweaked, but very enjoyable overall.
