And my luxuries resources doesnt give me happyness. Do i have to conect then to my city as civ4?

Don't know about your policies, but luxuries do not give happiness directly! Instead you have to build special buildings to get bonii from the luxuries, some give happiness and also gold like gold and silver, while others give production and food bonus and all possible combinations...

Yes.I was start to think about it. But my policies still a problem. I had a look in this topic. and didnt found anyone with the same problem. Already deleted the mod.

This was done by D when the monopoly system was set in place. He wanted the player to have to depend on the monopolies for their happiness. While this is good in theory, the practical applications meant a horrible unbalancing of the happiness system; the main byproduct of this design is that many early game buildings need happiness just to keep the player afloat. After a certain point, an ICS type system emerges. I want to go back to the vanilla way, where luxuries grant resources, and thereby allow the player to expand.

Sorry to hear that. If I could help you I would, but this mod has changed much since I stepped away in August. Over the break I plan on doing some extensive reworking, but as of now I have no idea what the issue may be.
 
Hurray for no more monopoly buildings \o/.

I wasn't really fond of them and they did create a positive problem later in games.
 
Well. i bought the game today (was using a skid row version). Still downloading from steam, when finish i'll test again and see what happens.

yes and no. I have a different idea of how the monopolies should work than what is currently used. So it's more like out with the old, in with the new...:)
 
does anyone know why when i load your mod no ressources appear? (the only mods i have running are CCTP, CCTP epic and realnameearth...

IIRC realnameearth is not compatible with CCTP at the moment.

I came here just to say that i finished the download of the original game and the mod ran properly with all the policies working right. It seems this mod dont run well in cracked versions.
 
Hello,I really love this mod.However,I realize that,when I'm using a exist map(such as the GEM),the game crashed(Not only in the game,but also in the WorldBuilder).According to my test,using a new random map will be OK.But, I really want to play this in some scenario maps.

I even translate all the text to my own language(it takes me about three weeks).And I planed to introduce this mod to more friends(many of them do not know English at all).Now I just about to finish the job,but I found this problem.

So,please,could anyone help me?
 
Where'd you get v. 16??

From Modbuddy, i downloaded it last saturday, i think.

Started a new game with v.16 set the resources to very high in order to see how that will work out.
Every strategic resource on the map only has 1 unit in it :confused:
The luxury resources have 2-3 units in each, with the odd 1.

Started a game with resources set to high as well. Now the strategic resources have 2 units for the most part, except for 2 (out of around 20) which have 7 units... This is very odd. Going to try starting a game with normal resources.

With normal resources there is slightly less spawn points for the strategic resources, with 2 in most of them one has 3 (horse) and one has 5 units (iron)

disclamer: With all these examples I've only played long enough to view horse and iron.

Anyone having a look at the resources? Or is there someone who could point me to where I can quickly and easily fiddle with it myself?
In my ideal world it should work like this:
Normal resources: 3 being the most likely amount per spawn point, 2 and 4 being less likely, 1 and 5 being rarer, 6 rarely and 7 exceptionally rare
High resources: 4 being the most likely, 3 and 5 being less likely, 4 and 6 being rarer, 3 and 7 rarely, 1 and 2 exceptionally rare.
Very high resources: 5 the most likely. 4 and 6 being less likely, and so on...

Instead of mods the game could actually do with some real developers continuing developing the game !

Yeah, it's not dead! Just the likes of me and chrome-rome are college students and we have some more important priorities ^^

We will be continuing work on the mod in the christmas break ;)

The most changes the developers are making, are copies from the community!
i dont think this mod has come to the end, since so many people are still working on it.
At least without dll, mods can not really change the hole game( ok a lot, but not the important things)
