Community Call to Power Project

Yes games start much faster, a large number of the prereqs have been done. We are now only missing the prereqs that link the eras together. I don't think this will add any slowdown, but wont know 100% until its done.
 
So far they haven't increased the delay at all. Right now I'm at the bridging of the Renaissance and Industrial eras. Fires, we might have to look into stretching the Industrial era into two separate eras, as it has way more techs than any other. Not now (first I want to get this out to the masses), but probably sometime soon. By Sunday or Monday the prereqs should be added enough so that people can try it out :D

Yeah it should be quite easy,I think best way is to keep them as Industrial era but have them split into two Categories eg Industrial: WW1, Industrial: WW2

I have received all the steps of monarchy social policy.
On top of the social policy is written that ` +3 happiness from garrisoned cities `.
BUT only 1 happiness differs when I leave/remove a soldier from ANY one of the city ,isn't it supposed to be 3 for each city ?
( even I have barracks in the city )

There are a lot of text bugs in the current mod, these will be resolved by v4.
 
When is it coming ? :D
This mod is just awesome that it made me return to civ 5 after release, having a blast !

There's no definite release yet, because there is simply an enormous number of tasks to complete before v4 is released. The new tech tree, an updated monopoly tree, and the game text. That will require a bit of work to refine.
 
Hi,

I don't know if it's the right place to put feedback on my game, but here I go:
- played a bit more than 300 turns (circa 1870) with Netherlands, King level, Small map (6 civ), Normal speed
- Even though I'm not a laggard in tech compared to other civs (3 or 4 less techs researched than the most advanced civ in the last report I got from the game), I haven't reached the Industrial era and I'm past the mid-19th century: is the -50% science modifier really meant to slow you down this much, or am I playing it like a loser ? With standard G&K I'm usually much, much faster in terms of research...
- Two other civs (Arabia & Egypt) are immensely richer than I am (maybe due to the fact that I spend a lot of gold with city-states & unit updating but still): I'm talking 40k gold here !
- It's hard to build all the available infrastructure in the cities, even the most productive ones... Maybe that's due to the fact there are a lot of resources on the map, and that there are all those resource-related buildings (for instance fish herder, fish market, fish distribution center etc.). If you want to have a decent army and go snatch one or two enemy's capitals along the way, it's almost impossible to keep up with the buildings that become available with new techs...
- Religion is not very effective in your mod, since you didn't seem to change the bonus related to beliefs, while some other part of the games got quite large boosts.

Overall a very nice mod ! I do enjoy a lot the social policies !
 
I have not had one game yet where I am top 3 in research I usualy sit around 4th, 3rd if I am realy lucky, to me thats fine, makes the game harder :), also play on King.
Yea we are well aware that the AI lacks the sense to spend gold on Units/CS/Buildings. Vanilla problem, hopefully if Fires has some luck converting over some elements of CivUP we can "borrow" Thals AI. As my custom AI is well lacking, but better than vanilla :)
TBH we have not touched on Religion yet, many more things are taking priority.

As to lacking the means to build buildings, I usualy spend my excess gold on buying buildings rather than wastign it on CS's that I am 9/10 times going to kill :)....Warmongerer me.

At a guess I'd say in the next week or so, depends how quick Chrome gets all the pre req techs done for the Eras(Hes busy moving back to campus atm). I think everything else bah the odd vanilla text fix here and there is pretty much done.

OK then ! Still, year 1900 and no one has reached the Industrial era in my game... Maybe that's due to the fact that I'm playing on a small map, since a smaller map usually means smaller empires (Don't know if science points required for each tech are scaled with map size...) Imho it wouldn't hurt if the science modifier was -33% instead of -50%
 
Yes science is scales with map size, also, CCTP likes big wide empires, or very large cities, or you will lack the required science to progree qucik. Atleast form my experience, usualy ona standard map, If I have not got 3+ cities up by classical your guna be running way behind your big rivals.
 
Why is it that I am able to research technologies from the information era right away? It kind of defeats the purpose of the game… Btw Im on a mac, have no other mods enabled.

Just so everyone is aware, the GitHub version is now not in a "playable" state. However you can get a look at the new tech tree if you download it
 
Not sure, will probably take a lot of work, main person to find out about compatibility between CCTP and other mods is Gilgamesch. So will leave the definitive answer to him :)
 
The main problem and almost only one I did was some of the techs would say XXXX.text I will wait to download the new techs for this MOD whenever you get a chance to post them on here. Thanks so much for you work! I do enjoy version 1!
