Russia was running away with things. Maria was gone, I had her capital, but could not make progress into Germany or China. I went to war with Russia to try and take the cities she had forward settled on me. I did get 2 of the 3 before Arabia attacked. I fought her off, but Catherine started her space program and I wasnt even close to getting the tech. All in all, a terrible game for me.
Will try again sometime, but gonna take a try at Genghis. Dom is my weakness, so it should be good practice.
Playing this one now... T145ish. I get that some CDG games are going to be designated for Diplo, but it is such a hard VC to get motivated for... may switch to late-game Dom to make things more interesting.

Went 3-city Tradition, as I quickly got cramped for space, partly thanks to repeated DoWs from Maria. Commerce opener, and Rationalism to Secularism. Scientific Theory is coming up, after which SV, Diplo, and Dom are all still very possible. Just got a new policy, so I closed the game for the night to sleep on where to go from here. Been swimming in happiness the last 50 turns because of the small empire and the only CS quests I can ever complete are for Mercantile CS.
Tank Domination games are super fun, and I suppose I could manufacture a DiploV out of a quasi-DomV situation and get the both of both worlds. But if the timing is not right, it could be a lot of pressing "next turn"...
