Community Patch - Modpack (Multiplayer Compatible)

Same for me: ai not proposing deals (in 160 turns)
2 humans, 6 ai, game with hybrid turn.

Well one of the most important things to check is if you are using the same modpack version, maybe your friend could delete the modpack-folder and install the latest version again, just to be on the safe side?
Apart from that, you only need the DLCs that are required by CBP (see OP).

And yes, it should do everything the SP-AI would do. If you could report your future experiences with the MP-AI, this would be very much appreciated!

I'll definitely keep testing it out.

Seeing as how when I played by myself, the AI did propose things to me in multiplayer, it looks like it all works fine on my end. I'll make sure to check in with my friend and see we're on the same version.

Secondly, if AI does Declaration to Protect City States, does that mean it's active? Or is that just something they do in vanilla multiplayer as well?

I also wanted to say that discovering this mod was the most exciting thing to happen in my gaming career in a really long time. So I have you guys to thank for that! A HUGE thanks to you all!

UPDATE: Played a round with my friend tonight. AI works fine! AI behave like they do in SP. However, one critical issue arose. My friend crashes the game every single time he clicks on the AI to propose a deal to AI. Any idea why it's doing this?

Gazebo's advice is also true for crashes: Could your friend please enable logs and post them here? :)

Is this simply not going to happen?

Sorry, I'm really busy at the moment (that's why I'm not posting much), but it requires additional software and some step by step instructions I didn't have time to write yet.
 
I'm just gonna say this again, how did you get the modpack together? I want to make one with cities in development in it but I need this in there first. I tried the SDK tool but it made it so that the dependencies didn't work with the central mod when I changed it to multiplayer active.
 
How did you get all the patch into the modpack? I tried using the debug tool but it didn't work because when I tried the first time, the singleplayer setting made the loader fail, and then the second time, the dependencies didn't register the modpack thanks to the changes I made. Can you help?

Which dependencies? Singleplayer setting makes loader fail? Central mod? Change to multiplayer active? Which SDK tool? :confused:
 
1/20, I played with 4 ppl, Terra, small, quick. When was a few turns to first congress, there were desyncs (reloading screen) after every turn. After voting in the congress, turn ended without desync. We were wondering, if it could be because of the congress or maybe Explorer unit that someone produced, or host's internet instability.

Posting logs anyway.

I'm interested in adding CiD and Cultural Diversity (and maybe Piety) by JFD into modpack as well, but it doesn't work :( How to make other mods to work in multi modpack?

That's a fine answer, Lynnes. I apologize for hounding you. A few days and a few posts from both you and Gazebo had passed. I wanted to keep the issue in focus, lest it be forgotten, as sometimes happens with the rapid movement of this sort of thread.
 
I was under the impression that you had implemented JdH's multiplayer mod so that the AI contacted you (player) while playing in multiplayer? I have tried running multiplayer and NO AI has contacted me and everything seem to be running just fine. I created my own pack with the latest versions of CMP loaded and as instructed by Gazebo in a earlier post I copied over the mods that didnt get copied into the MODPACK folder. I am running MP and all the mods I copied into the modpack folder seems to be running. But the AI is not active. What am I doing wrong?

Enabling that element of the AI currently has to be done in the DLL, then the DLL has to be compiled. Lynnes does this in his modpack, but if you are simply making a modpack of the current CP release it will not enable this. Eventually this will change, but it's an endeavor.

Also the non-EUI Version seems to bug. I cant found a city, because the whole left interface is gone and after I click "next turn" it crashes. The EUI Version works just fine. (tested it in multiplayer private session only with AI's)

It does not work on a mac (any of it). You'd need to emulate windows to use the DLL.

I'm having a weird issue with multiplayer. Basically when I connect with a certain friend (friend A) we hit a loading screen every single turn.

I can connect with friend B just fine, and friend B can connect to friend A just fine, but as soon as all 3 of us (or just me and friend A) are in a game, its loading screens every turn.

I've tried all kinds of suggestions like VPN and such but nothing has solved the problem yet.

The WEIRDEST part is that I'm 100% sure its something in this modpack, because if we all unmod our civ 5 there's absolutely zero problems.

I think you are on an old copy of the modpack.

Also, logging is not enabled - make sure to enable message and AI logging.

I tried this out for the first time today. Run through steam so should be up to date. I ran it by myself with 1 AI. After I got into the game, it acted as if it was not my turn, and I could not see the controls for units or cities etc and could only do a few things like select a unit and give a move order. It was basically like portions of the hud were missing. I downloaded the enhanced UI mod on my own from its thread, is there any incompatibility between their version of it and the one you guys include?

Any ideas?

If you are using the EUI modpack, don't download EUI elsewhere. It's included.
